Warning to all future guests! When booking this accommodation, the listing clearly stated that a 5,000 THB security deposit was required, but there was no mention of any additional charges. However, after completing my reservation, the property sent a message in English—something many guests might overlook—stating that electricity usage would be charged at 5 THB per unit. This fee was not disclosed in the accommodation’s policy section before booking. Concerned about this unexpected charge, I contacted Booking.com to clarify the issue. They confirmed that I was not required to pay for electricity since it was not stated in the booking terms. Upon arrival at the property, the check-in staff did not mention anything about this extra charge. However, I brought it up myself, explaining that I had already spoken with Booking.com and they confirmed that I was not obligated to pay. The staff insisted that a manager or relevant person would follow up with me. I stayed for two nights, and upon check-out, a staff member came to record the electricity meter reading, attempting to charge me. I had to explain the situation again, insisting that what they were doing was not correct and that they should contact Booking.com. In the end, I did not have to pay the electricity fee, as Booking.com strongly maintained that guests should not be charged for undisclosed fees. ⚠️ This is a serious issue, and I want to warn all future guests to be cautious.
