Great location with easy access and convenient car parking. The area is clean, and I especially liked the spacious balcony.

Our stay had some issues that made it less enjoyable. Although the host called us while driving to the location, the apartment location and numbers were confusing, and the directions on booking.com led us to the wrong location. The hallway shower handle was broken, and the host was already aware of it before our stay, which was frustrating since we had four people sharing one shower. Better maintenance and clearer directions would have improved our experience.

The apartment itself is spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, and the kitchen is well equipped. Each of the two bedrooms has its own full bathroom. The balcony has a view of the marina. With a car (which you need, even for being able to leave the gated compound since the pedestrian exit is locked), several attractions are only a short drive away, including the Seven Seas beach, the luminescent bay, the ferries to Culebra and Vieques, and the Yunque rain forest. Likewise some good restaurants. Good communication with the host.

You are not staying at the nice building with the red tile roof and pool shown prominently in the pictures as we had anticipated, which is still hurricane damaged and inaccessible (3/2025). Instead, the apartment is in one of the more nondescript buildings a quarter mile the left. Since the window towards the balcony is the only one that has glass panes, the storm shutters of all other windows need to be closed if you use air con, which makes the apartment a bit dark. The biggest down-side was the noise, since the marina and boat yard next door start moving boats with heavy fork lifts in the early morning, in addition to using loud and beeping trucks and other heavy machinery. Because in addition to that our upstairs neighbors partied loudly until the wee hours and the building appears not well insulated, we left sleep-deprived.

The location was perfect for all our activities in Fajardo. 5-10 minutes to the best beach, the kayaking tour in the bioluminescent bay and many delicious places to eat. Around the corner from a wonderful bakery that also served lunch. Inviting home that is tastefully decorated and very safe with a secure gated entry. Lily, the host, gave us such a warm welcome and provided tips for local activities.
