There wasn't a breakfast. The apartment was very comfortable and warm. the Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were amazing. Everything in the kitchen was in good order and more than adequate. We enjoyed the TV with all cable options. The location was good with lots of nearby grocers and eating options. Transportation options were good.

We weren't aware the apartment was in a basement with 6+ steps that were steep and difficult for someone with mobility issues. It wasn't the most inviting entrance with trash bins there.

The apartment worked ok for 2 couples. It was comfortable and location was great for us. It was close to the underground and on the District line which suited our needs. There were also bus stops close by. We were however, disappointed that there was very little room to store clothes in the smaller bedroom. The storage space was taken up by numerous linen packs which we had to move and store elsewhere in order to be able to unpack our clothes.

The reason for a poorer rating is down to the property management rather than the property. We found the management company frustrating to deal with. Most things we asked for seemed a problem. When we asked weeks in advance for an earlier check-in than 4pm because we had a social event across town in the evening they said they needed us to wait until 2 days before our check-in before they could answer that. This is despite having a 5 hour turnaround between previous guests and new guests and also being asked weeks in advance so it could be planned for. When you are travelling from across the other side of the world there is plenty of luggage to think about if you want to fill in time before check-in. They requested passport details for all guests but then wanted the lead person to be present at check-in otherwise other party members would need to show various forms of ID. As it happened no-one asked for any proof at all at check-in. Asking for top sheets for better temperature control than just duvets was beyond them (even supplying an extra duvet cover to use as a topsheet) and we were advised to buy our own. Getting answers to questions frequently needed asking several times. We would generally receive email responses promptly (almost always in duplicate or triplicate thereby clogging up the inbox) but commonly they did not provide an answer to the question which had been asked. Despite the property managers requesting a specific check out time to come and inspect the property, they failed to turn up, wasting our time waiting for them. This check was important because we wanted to ensure we got our security deposit back. Even the deposit had to be chased up because the company had not notified us that all was ok and the refund would get processed in due time. In our 5 weeks of travel this is the only accommodation where our requests were seen as problems. I would think twice about staying in a property in the future if it was managed by this company.
