About this apartment rental

Beachfront apartment for wonderful days at the beach and pleasant walks along the seashore—or, in winter, simply to enjoy the sea and its waves, great cuisine, especially fresh fish caught right here in our sea, and an excellent boardwalk for nice walks along the waterfront. To observe the local wildlife, there’s Barrinha de Esmoriz, home to migratory birds and all kinds of wildlife you can spot. A family-friendly apartment for a relaxing vacation with all the amenities and an excellent terrace for unwinding, or for so-called “digital nomads,” where you can work to the sound of the sea, free from stress.

We chose this place based on the first picture which was deceiving. We thought it led directly to the water. After adjusting to the place without easy ocean access and an ocean view, we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and ocean front restaurants. We did enter a street to go grocery shopping that had some “shady” men hanging around but otherwise we felt safe.

Very nice and well appointed apartment but the location is in a sketchy area. While the beach is within walking distance, not an area where we felt comfortable walking, nor are there any restaurants w/in walking distance that we felt safe to try out. The neighborhood appears to be going through some changes and perhaps will improve over time.
