Diminio 2 Whole House - Chalet

This was an extended skiing weekend and with that in mind, the property was selected. The Hosts are lovely people, very friendly, and tried to accommodate our needs whenever that was possible. The property is ideally located if you want to go Skiing - it is very close to the ski resort - and quite close to Arachova and Delphi for visiting the museum, etc. "Livadi" area does not have many things to do except eat at the local tavernas. It is also very quiet and has nice views. I suppose with heavy snow it must be very nice to be there.

First of all the property is really small (smaller than what I thought would be) and the bathrooms are tiny. For a family of four, it can get a bit crowded but it was not a huge problem. It is also a property that does not have breakfast included ( we knew that) but has the facilities to make one. I feel that a water heater to boil water would have been appropriate, as well as a toaster. They had a Nespresso coffee machine which was a good addition. Also in this day and age, As far as the bathrooms are concerned, I think that small bottles of shampoo and shower gel should be supplied. Also, soap needs to be wrapped. Instead of that, there was a big bar of soap, already used, and two big bottles, one of "Old Spice" and something else for the ladies, in the shower. Were they placed there to share? or maybe left by the previous guest? In any case, I think that this is not acceptable. Either nothing at all or small bottles. Makes you wonder if the place was cleaned or just checked out. Nonetheless, liquid soap was provided. The upstairs sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. It is a sort of futon bed with no springs that made my back hurt. Also, the space left when this is unfolded is minimal and you practically have to jump over it to reach the bathroom door. By the way, the main bathroom with a shower is the upstairs one. One final thing. The property is pet-friendly (the people at the adjacent property had their dog with them) and this is a good thing. I am a pet owner (we have a cat) and I know how difficult it is to remove pet hair. However, the floor had pet hair from a shorthaired dog, obviously, by a previous guest, which was easy to spot on our black socks, clothes, etc. As a pet owner, this is a big NO. You need to vacuum the place properly. Just made me think that the place was not thoroughly cleaned at all after the previous guest left.
