This was the perfect place to explore the landing beaches and cemeteries from. It was so close to Bayeux, also a great town to explore. My kids loved the lofted area, calling it the kid lounge. The gated courtyard means my kids could run around and I didn’t have to worry about traffic. Added bonus- the large trampoline was a hit! Thank you!

We enjoyed our time here. I loved the sound of the church bells and having a courtyard to park inside. The check in was smooth and easy. The hosts were responsive when we had questions about the washing machine. Property was clean and well equipped.

It’s a great quiet location.
We liked it as it was central to visiting Normandy and the D day beaches . It’s close to bayeux if you need and supplies restaurants etc. The owners are right on site at the main house if you need anything. They did check in with us to make sure all was in order . I would stay again if we return to the area.

Property is excellent, high standards perfect for our trip to Bayeux, Caen, and Luc-sur-mare. Property is in the garden of the hosts, they have a wonderful Cat and Dog who will come and visit if your missing your pets.
Village is rural perfect and quiet, not many immediate facilities or shops but many within a short drive. Countryside is stunning, lots of cider houses, and calvados places

We have enjoined our 4 night stay with my 2 kids. We had some problem with connecting the Wifi in the first day and contacted the owner the problem was solved next day. Lovely garden, good location, good size for 4 or 5 people, small kitchen but it is OK for short stay.

This was a really super property for us, with two girls aged 10 and 6. The house met every need both in terms of comfort and facilities. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. We were also able to use the garage for storing the four bikes we brought with us. A lovely location, nice and quiet, but also close to main routes for easy access around the wider area, and just down the road from the wonderful Bayeux. A great base for cycling and so much to see and do in the vicinity. We would definitely return. A big thank you to our lovely hosts!

A Wonderful Place in a village!!
A Wonderful Place in a village!!
This wonderful gite in the small community of Agy, south of Bayeux, was a refreshing break and a handy location for visiting all the D-Day activities. It was clean and well equipped and Veronique and Sebastian were most welcoming. We loved hearing the church bells toll the hours, reminding us of a simpler time, when people did not have watches and used the bells to know the time. We have 3 little dogs with complex medical needs and the green grass of the yard give them a wonderful place to relax. We highly recommend this gite and would stay there again!!

It was a nice stay with friendly people. The town, called Agy, lies on a tactical place if you want to say the D-day beaches. For every destination you drive 30-40 minutes so that's okay, especially when you've children. For example Utah beach, Omaha beach, American memorial are near Agy. We did every day another destination. If you want to say a museum, the Overlord museum near the American cemetery is a recommendation.

Lovely stay at this cottage. Perfect location for a tour of the Normandy area.
We especially loved the garden, very important for my kids to be able to play outside. It was so nice to sit among the flowers and hang our washing out among lavender plants. The living space of the cottage is a bit small -- we did not really use the upper loft space except for sleeping. It would be nice to have a bit more seating on the main floor. The kitchen does not have lots of prep space but I was able to cook full meals for our family of four just fine. The hosts were very kind, welcoming and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at their cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The owners were lovely and were available to answer any questions if needed. The home is located in the picturesque French countryside and pictures dont do it justice. We enjoyed the lush garden and birds singing outside the windows. The property was centrally located and allowed us to make day trips to nearby Bayeux, the Normandy beach area, and Mont. St. Michel.

Lovely Country Cottage in Agy close to Bayeux and Central to Normandy Sites
Lovely Country Cottage in Agy close to Bayeux and Central to Normandy Sites
This was the ideal location for 3 middle aged men who are history buffs to do some battlefield touring and site seeing. From Agy, we were centrally located and connected to the highways to get out to all the Normandy beaches and historic sites. We were able to drive back at the end of the day to sit in the garden and have a quiet glass of cider to enjoy the lovely weather and plan out our next day's activities. The owners were very friendly and provided many excellent shopping and eating recommendations as well as helping to put us in touch with local contacts. Overall, the cottage was very clean, had all the modern conveniences, was centrally located in a small country village beside an historic church whose gentle bell woke us at 7am each morning. I highly recommend this cottage to others.

Stayed at the cottage in June for four nights and found it clean and well equipped. We were travelling on motorbikes and hosts provided a key to the garage below so we could park them inside on an evening. The cottage was comfortable, warm and well equipped with everything you need. Plenty of hot water and clean towels / bed linen on arrival. TV worked fine (we did watch some of the Euro 2016) and also no problem connecting to the WiFi. The area itself was very quiet but not far from good road links (you do need transport). People have mentioned the church bells but I didnt find them intrusive at all. The hosts were perfect, and spoke good English and presented us with a bottle of Cidre on arrival that had been made locally. They even called our next cottage owner on the day of our departure to let them know what time we were planning on arriving as the next owner only spoke French.Bayeux itself is only 10 minutes down the road and easy to navigate round. Plenty of restaurants and shops as well as supermarkets. Lots to see and do as well - with the Cathedral, Tapestry and War Museums all worth a visit. With the tapestry, you get an audio device given on entry and it talks you through the various scenes as you slowly make your way along it.All in all, a very comfortable and friendly place. Well recommended.

Superb experience in a pure country environment!
Superb experience in a pure country environment!
We have stayed at this cottage for 5 nights earlier this July, which was our base to tour Normandy beaches/museums and surroundings (Mt. St-Michel in particular). The place is great - very clean, well equipped (kitchen with stoves, fridge, two cabinets; vacuum cleaner, TV, Wi-Fi, etc.) and spacious, yet it's very affordable. It has access to a downstairs washing machine, grill and garden table with chairs, if you want to spend some time outside. Very nice garden and backyard overall. The property is located in extremely quiet rural area, adjacent to an old church (unfortunately, not opened so the bells won't wake you up in the morning - I have missed that experience :-), so you need to account for provisions elsewhere, as the nearest stores would be in Bayeux. Just do the shopping at E.Leclerc in Bayeux before going back home from your trips (but remember - all major supermarkets close at 20:00, except for one small Carrefour Express in center of Bayeux, opened longer into the night).
The hosts are wonderful people with great sense of hospitality. If there was a question about the area or a technical difficulty (using European equipment ;-) it was taken care of immediately. Our stay was simply a pleasure and should we ever go back to Normandy, we have a place to stay!

The owners were welcoming, showed us the property and explained how to work the cooker. The property was clean and adequately furnished, plenty of utensils and crockery. We had a problem with the TV but it didn't bother us too much as our French is not good enough to follow a programme. We stayed for 3 days while we visited Bayeux, Gold Beach and the Pegasus Bridge, we found this was just the right amount of time but if you wanted to do more then a longer stay would be required.

Great place to stay in the country
We stayed for two nights in this great cottage while we did a two day tour of Normandy and D-Day sites. You will need to have a car to get to the cottage and it is set out in the beautiful country side of France. It is about a ten minute drive to Bayeux where most of the D-Day tours take place. Very nice and pleasant family own the cottage, and very clean place to stay. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Perfect hosts, perfect location, perfect cottage
Perfect setting for a relaxing holiday in the Bayeux and Normandy area. The cottage was fabulous, the yard was a plush environment to enjoy some fresh air and nature. Our hosts had everything waiting for us, and the cottage was well appointed for cooking and dinners in. The kids enjoyed the loft. We appreciated the great array of information available on the shelves along with a few toys and games. Veronique and Sebastian provided all that was needed and gave us the space to enjoy our time. As the cottage sits next to a small Church, the bells took a little geeting used to...especially at 7am, but this also added to the charm. Excellent location, only minutes to centre Bayeux, and short drives to all of the historical sites. Highly recommend for small families and groups. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future.
