Resort 1-Huge Pool, BBQ, 300m-Beach, 8 mins to Walking Street

I love staying in Pratamnak, it is ideally located between Pattaya and Jomtien and it's quite easy to exit onto Sukhumvit road in order to travel further afield. If you don't drive the area is packed with bars and restaurants and transport is easy to get to visit Pattaya or Jomtien. This villa is one of 7 built around a central pool in a gated development. The garden is well maintained and enjoyable and the pool is excellent. I have stayed many times over the last 10 years or so. The host has several of the villas (each a different size) and the remainder are privately owned. This "villa" (the 4 bedroom one) I believe was an office in the past and was converted at some stage and it isn't the greatest of conversions but it is a good price if you require 4 rooms. The host isn't local but was very responsive to all our messages and the onsite lady was quick to attend when needed.

Firstly as its a small gated compound and there are I think 3 other villas that are rented your stay can be affected by other people which you have no control over but to be fair this would be the same in a hotel but not in a stand alone villa. I would urge the operator to be a little more selective in the bookings he accepts as we had some small issues with a group of younger males next door relating to music and general noise, not a big issue but did cause some annoyance for a couple of nights. Secondly I have suggested the villa we were in has a bit of an update regarding kitchen equipment and furniture, as its self catering the lack of decent pots and pans and an old style hot plate to cook in isn't very modern although they all work ok. Also one 4 seat sofa doesn't accommodate the number of people likely to stay in 4 bedrooms. The main door is locked via padlock and can't be secured at night from the inside and one of the bedrooms has a street facing door also locked via padlock permanently but does have a small air gap allowing heat and noise in. I did raise a few of these points with the host near the end of the stay and in fairness to him he did say if they had been raised earlier they might have been able to do something and I hope he takes these points constructively as the location and pool make this a great spot to stay if you are looking for self catering facilities, a great location and a fantastic pool.
