This hotel is nearby to Airport so easier to make arrangement if there's an early flight. Even though room wasn't ready yet by the time we arrive, the staff provide us a time line & gave 2 extra water bottles as compensation.. Shower was good however tv remote was not responsive... Overall, good night stay

The hotel offers great value for money, especially for families. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Although the hotel is located close to the airport, it also provides a convenient airport shuttle service, which made our travel even easier. With its affordable price, excellent cleanliness, and family-friendly atmosphere, this hotel is a great choice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling with family.

Avoid Royal City Hotel – Disgusting Conditions and Zero Service Do not let the "Royal" name fool you; this place is far from it. We checked into our room to find dirty bed sheets with hair and visible stains. When we asked staff to change them, taking off the sheets revealed an even filthier mattress covered in spots and loose hair. When we asked the receptionist for a different room, she responded with attitude and refused, telling us to take a refund instead. After dragging our luggage back down a long flight of stairs (there is no elevator), she told us she wouldn't process the refund herself and forced us to deal with Agoda—knowing full well how difficult that is. Stuck with no choice after 30 minutes of trying to sort it out, we had to stay. The room is tiny, the bathroom was filthy, the overall service was disgusting, and there is nothing worth seeing nearby. We took photos to prove all of it. Save your money and stay somewhere else in Kuala Lumpur. Terrible Experience: Dirty Mattress, Rude Receptionist, and Misleading Name The "Royal City Hotel" in Kuala Lumpur is anything but royal. Our stay here was completely unacceptable from start to finish. * Hygiene: The room and bathroom were dirty and cramped. When we looked closely at the bed, we noticed hair and stains on the sheets. We asked to have them changed, but removing the sheets exposed a mattress that was filthy—covered in dark spots and more hair. * Customer Service: When we reported the dirty mattress and requested another room, the receptionist was extremely rude. She flatly refused to give us another room and told us we could just get a refund. * Facilities & Logistics: There is no elevator, so we had to haul all our bags back down the long staircase. Once downstairs, the receptionist refused to process the refund herself, telling us to request it through Agoda instead. After wasting 30 minutes trying to contact customer support with no resolution, we were forced to stay because we had no other options. * Location: The location offers no convenience, with nothing worthwhile in the immediate surrounding area. We took pictures of the mattress, sheets, and room conditions to document everything. Save yourself the stress and avoid this hotel.
