    I had a pleasant experience staying with Desert Haveli Guest House and I was simply amazed by the friendliness of the hotel staff Mr Jeetu, who was very kind and took special care for my stay treating me like a friend and a family member. He was very helpful and gave me useful tips to get around to see the attractions. I also highly appreciated his effort to arrange a desert safari which was very nice!!. The food was commendable and the rooftop views were simply amazing! Rooms were kept clean and the hotel is located inside the fortress. Getting around here requires a bit of walk but it is definitely worth it as it is near to the attractions. Definitely will recommend the place and will come back again!!

    The view from here is mesmerizing. No luxury hotel can beat living inside a haveli located in fort. Everyone should experience this atleast once. The room was clean and rooftop is so beautiful. I loved each and every minute of my stay here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Vimal ji was very helpful to us and made our stay perfect.

    We stayed at Desert Haveli Guest House from October 19-21, 2025, and had a wonderful experience with my wife and 6-year-old son. **What We Loved:** - **Location**: Staying inside the historic Jaisalmer Fort was absolutely magical - **Rooms**: Clean and well-maintained with cozy, comfortable beds - **Atmosphere**: Authentic haveli experience with beautiful traditional architecture - **Staff**: Mr. Sunil, the caretaker, was helpful and hospitable throughout our stay **Things to Note:** The restaurant isn't fully operational yet, so it's best to think of this as a homestay rather than a full-service hotel. However, this didn't detract from our experience at all. **Overall:** Desert Haveli Guest House offers an authentic and memorable stay in one of India's most iconic locations. The combination of comfort, cleanliness, and the unique experience of living within the fort walls makes this a highly recommended choice Recommend For: Families, couples, anyone seeking an authentic heritage experience in Jaisalmer Fort

    THE GOOD: Mr. Jeet is a great host - friendly, helpful, and did his best with requests like a kettle and breakfast. Mr. Vimal was also polite. However, the hospitality cannot make up for the serious management failures. THE BAD: LOCATION: Inside the Fort is extremely noisy, crowded, and chaotic. No vehicles allowed, so expect a long walk through crowds with luggage. INFRASTRUCTURE: Poor soundproofing (you hear neighbors clearly). Despite booking an AC room, I was given a non-AC room. UTILITIES: On my first morning, there was NO electricity and NO water. Water pressure is very low, and the heater only lasts a few minutes. I had to bathe with a pail of water in the winter. Totally unacceptable for the price. THE UGLY: PRE-ARRIVAL: Two weeks before check-in, the owner harassed me for a 30% advance payment outside of Agoda, threatening to cancel my booking. I had to involve Agoda support to stop this. CHECKOUT CHAOS: I had a 10:30 AM flight. Even though I confirmed the day before that my Agoda payment was settled, they blocked me at 8:00 AM demanding CASH. They didn't know how to use their own Agoda portal. I had to resolve their administrative issues myself, only escaping at 8:40 AM. I nearly missed my flight due to their incompetence. FINAL THOUGHTS: Listing on Agoda without knowing how to manage digital payments is unprofessional. Do not stay here if you want a stress-free trip or have a tight schedule.
