Le nid douillet mérite bien son nom ! Tout est parfait : l'accueil, le cadre, la chambre, le petit déjeuner, la fraîcheur apportée par les vieux murs un jour caniculaire. Et bien frais la nuit, naturellement

Le petit déjeuner était en convivialité et en simplicité

Room was spacious with good storage, comfortable and warm. Nice bathroom with a good shower and plenty of hot water. Location is quite remote but then it's a farm so to be expected. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and served at a refectory table I assume would normally be taken with other guests. Also see notes below.

On the day I was due to arrive I had a message to say they could not provide breakfast, which I had specifically booked this property for, on the first morning. As an alternative I had a tray in the room with instant coffee, teabags and sugar sachets and a couple of prewrapped madeleines. This was not at all convenient as it was New Years Day and everywhere was closed. Luckily I had a supply of food that I could put in the fridge that was available in a communal area. But no access to crockery or cutlery! I also discovered the owners left the property (and locked their dogs up in a barn). I was not given any indication that would happen, and as a female solo traveller being left completely alone in the middle of nowhere was in my view unacceptable.
