Boomer Beach Retreat - Family Escape by the Sea

With two teenage boys its location to boomer surf beach really worked ….. I will say having two English boys ( although by uk standards good swimmers ) was at times a little scary …. Def not beach all Also because it’s obviously someone’s weekend retreat we had access to all usual house stuff … olive oil etc ( things you’d never buy for a few days visit from london )

No sea view but I guess that’s reflected in price … did usual uk thing of looking at how much this and that house costs …. Sea view equals 4 times price so guess does same to rentals … (but really close to beach … truly 5min walk ) This is a design thing but the cold white spot lights in the upstairs family room instead of warm white ones really have a coles supermarket feel and not enough light without them on … this is really very picky though as house has a great family feel

Clean, had everything you would need and more, location was excellent too - short walk to all major attractions

All amenities available. Clean and easy to stay in. Loved the view and the sound of the ocean

Shower head was not adjustable ( seemed broken) but otherwise no complaints at all

Excellent location. 5 min walk from the beach, 20min walk from town with shops and bakery. The house is very well equipped with everything you need.

Small item: Before the trip, I have contacted the owners to ask about the use of washer/drier. I believe they responded, with delay, that both are available. There is no drier, but there is a washing machine. I have contacted the hosts during my stay to ask how to run the washing machine, or rather, how to turn on the water source that supplies it. It appeared that the water supply to the washing machine and the sink located in the same room has been cut off. I never received a response, although I did receive a response with instructions for the checkout in a timely manner. All of this may have been only miscommunication.
