About this cottage rental
Cozy lake cabin located less than one hour from Minneapolis. It's the perfect place to get away for those looking for a minimalist vacation! Recently remodeled, Ivy Cottage is a great place to unplug (or not, with high-speed internet) and enjoy a stunning view of Lake Fremont. This small but lovely cabin boosts two bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen and stunning outdoor spaces. Nestled on a peninsula, you will enjoy your morning coffee (or evening cocktail) with a 180+ degree view of the lake and a nature preserve!
We don't have many reviews yet....why? Because we recently bought and remodeled this little gem. We also own a sister property just steps away with TONS of great reviews (check out Fremont Cottage on Lake Fremont). Feel free to book both cabins if you'd like to vacation with family/friends.
DETAILS on Ivy Cottage...
Master bedroom - NEW organic Queen mattress with organic cotton linens and a small closet.
Second bedroom - Twin over full size bunk beds featuring NEW organic mattresses with organic cotton linens and a small closet.
Living Room - Small couch and high top table with seating for four people
Kitchen - open shelving, an island on wheels so that you can move as you cook/prep, well-stocked with your basics (olive oil, seasonings, etc), pots/pans/dishes/glasses/etc, microwave - everything that you to need to make a gourmet meal!
Office/laundry room - Perfect spot to get a little work done or leave with clean clothes!
Porch - screened in to keep the bugs away! Perfect spot to sip your morning cup of coffee and/or evening cocktail (or tea).
Grill - gas grill with utensils included.
Cabin also includes a fire pit, open patio and dock. Feel free to bring your own boat or rent ours. Parking is on the side of the house - space for two cars.
A Maui Mat (think of a large floating yoga mat that can be used as a swim platform) is provided with the rental along with two SUPs. The stand up paddle boards are a great way to explore Lake Fremont (check out the island at the center off the lake and watch the bald eagles)!
This sweet little cabin is meant to escape from busy life so we have intentionally chosen not to include a TV. High speed wifi is available though, because we understand that sometimes a little connection is important!
Want to bring your dog? We love dogs! We welcome dogs for a non-refundable $100 pet deposit. No cats allowed as the owner has a severe cat allergy (Christina loves cats, so blame Craig). Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the cabin.
Like to fish? Throw in a line and catch sunnies, bass and northerns right off the dock! The lake was recently restocked with game fish by the DNR.
Beautiful walking trails within a couple blocks at Grams Regional Park (see photos).
Interested in water adventures during your stay? For an extra fee, we offer rental of a pontoon boat. Ask for details.
Only 20 minutes to Albertville Outlet Shopping Center and the Shops at Arbor Lakes. Only 45 minutes to Minneapolis.

My husband and I just finished up a month long stay at the Ivy Cottage. The cottage itself is so cute and comfortable. Very clean, looked just like the photos. It is right on the water - Beautiful views! Our dog was with us and we enjoyed walking the nearby trail. Hosts were very responsive and helpful!

The host was absolutely incredible! Great communication and very accomodating. The house was perfect for my family. Nice fire pit area and being able to cruise the lake in the pontoon was great! Having the SUP's was fun as well.pontoon wad

My friend from Australia wanted to have a cabin experience while staying with us here in Minnesota. We live in the suburbs, so this was a nice little quiet, two-night getaway for her to experience that. We enjoyed the quiet serenity of this little cabin and she liked how close it was to the water. It was well-equipped and clean.
