Named for the resident Bald Eagles that hang out in the tall Sitka Spruce trees in Pacific Seawatch, the Eagle Vacation Home is perched well above the high tide mark on the south end of Pacific City in Pacific Seawatch. This recently built modern family home has breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Haystack Rock, Cape Kiwanda, and the Nestucca River. Pet-friendly features in the home include a warm water outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing sand off your feet, a dog bed, and bowls provided. Spend your day on the beach, or stay in and relax on the deck with a glass of wine or Pelican brew.
This two-story home is the epitome of family luxury with room for everyone. It can comfortably sleep up to ten people, so bring the whole family! Relax by the fire in the great room while enjoying the large flat-screen TV, or cook up a feast in the fully outfitted kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances. This home features two ensuite bedrooms with king beds, one on the main floor. Quiet, private ocean views on the deck. Send the kids downstairs to the family room, which includes games, books, and a flat-screen TV. The bunk room features two twin bunk beds, one double bed on the bottom, and a twin trundle sleeping up to a total of 6 people. The guest bathroom features a tub/shower and double sinks. The laundry room is complete with a sink and a full-size washer and dryer.
Parking: Eagle Vacation Home has plenty of parking for up to 4 medium-sized cars. The long driveway accommodates a truck with a trailer. The carport on the main level makes loading and unloading a breeze.
The garage is currently unavailable to guests.
Occupancy limits cannot be exceeded at any time, including visitors.
Homes in Pacific Seawatch include access to the community clubhouse:
Pacific Seawatch Club House Pool: Located right across the street from the Pacific Seawatch Club House and Pool, with premium workout equipment, a 45' saltwater indoor swimming pool: 6 AM - 11 PM, and a 9-hole mini-golf course. A short 10-minute orientation provides you with access to the facility during your stay. (Please note the keycard will not work outside of these hours.)
Per requirements by the Pacific Seawatch Homeowners Association, a signed Release Form is required to gain access to the community clubhouse. We'll reach out to you after booking to get this form signed.
Please note that boats, trailers, and RVs are unfortunately not permitted.

The photos were accurate in depicting the property itself. Everything was clean and tidy. The directions provided prior to the reservation were clear. The listing stated a hot tub was available to use, but when my family and I got the to the property, it was not in working order. I messaged the host, but did not hear back until the day of departure. There was a community center that we initially had difficulty accessing, but with a couple phone calls, we were able to use the facilities. Overall, communication could have been much better and not being able to use the hot tub was unfortunate, but the property itself was in a nice location and had plenty of things to do to keep up occupied. The beds were also comfortable to sleep in, and the opportunity to bring my dogs was a nice perk.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this gorgeous house. Amazing view, with access to beautiful Pacific City with its many beauty spots and great restaurants and cafes. The house is beautiful and clean. The bedrooms are all private and seem to have a great sound-proofing, so it is great if you are visiting with a group. The Clubhouse next door is amazing. Super easy check-in and check-out without a big chore list. We loved this house, and I expect we will be back!

Good: Great location, beautiful views of bay & ocean. Bed in main bedroom was very comfortable. Indoor fireplace in working order & kept the room really warm. The great room upstairs has a nice large screen TV, w/streaming apps available (you need to have your own account to sign-in). Main kitchen appliances were nice, although not a ton of spices/supplements (tinfoil would have been nice) but adequate for cooking at home. There is a pair of eagles local to the neighborhood that we enjoyed watching.
Bad: Received an email 1 day before our trip from Oregon Beach Vacations noting that the hot tub was not working & offering a refund for ~6% of the price of the reservation. I called to request a cancellation/reschedule, OBV would not allow us to cancel or reschedule but eventually offered a discount equating to 18%, which seemed closer to the market value of the increase over non-hot tub properties, & we accepted.
I think it’s important for potential renters to understand the uncertain availability of the advertised hot tub & what they can expect to receive as compensation should it be unavailable. Also, we were told that the late notification of the hot tub’s unavailability was because the guest before us didn’t notify OBV until check-out, but in the review preceding mine, a guest 6 days before our stay noted that they experienced this issue and had notified OBV promptly (which I believe).
In short- very nice property, beware of the advertised hot tub.
