About this apartment rental
Enjoy a spacious, sunny, high ceilinged, beautiful private apartment above our barn/garage in a lovely prestigious neighborhood. Close to Aiken historic village shops & restaurants, Willcox Hotel, Aiken Golf Club, Hitchcock Woods, Bruce's Field... Approximately half hour drive to August Airport and Augusta National (can be longer in special event traffic.)
Suite features full bathroom with shower/tub, kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, kettle, sink, coffee maker, toaster; no oven or stove.) Desk and WiFi for remote work. Smart TV and DVD player (use your own login for Netflix, Prime etc.)
You have exclusive use of the entire second story of the barn which has a private entrance. (You may occasionally see us in and out of the garage of the first floor.) The porch outside the barn is for your use and overlooks garden. There is also shared access to gas BBQ grill on the deck and the back yard which includes dining/sunbathing patio, gazebo, fountain and beautiful gardens.
Peaceful, wooded residential neighborhood- about a ten minute walk to Hitchcock Woods.
Onsite outdoor parking for one vehicle (contact us to discuss more than 1 vehicle or extra large vehicle such as a trailer.)
Laundry service by appointment (wash/dry/fold $35 per load).

Information you may wish to know before booking:
Smoke detectors are installed in the unit.
Fire extinguishers are provided under the kitchenette sink and in the unit entryway.
We will ask you to let us know your expected arrival time so that we can arrange to meet you with the keys. You will receive keys to both the entryway door and the door to the unit itself. Please keep both doors locked. The entryway door is shared with our garage access so you may hear us coming in and out occasionally but we will not access your unit except upon your request or in case of emergency.
Exterior security cameras are in use throughout the property to monitor entrances, gates etc.
There is a full flight of stairs up to the unit. The path to the unit is a combination of gravel and stepping stones and may be uneven.
Smoking and vaping are expressly prohibited in any indoor space. Candles and incense are also prohibited.
Please contact us directly for detailed information regarding care of service animals. No service animals may be left alone on the property at any time. No service animals are permitted in the fenced back yard. Guest is responsible for all cleanup and repair of damages caused by service animals; excess cleanup or repair costs will be deducted from the security deposit and additional assessment if needed.

Wonderful place to stay. Nestled in a very nice residential area, provides easy access to Aiken and environs. Check-in process was smooth and straightforward. The host was incredibly responsive and provided detailed instructions for check-in, which made arrival hassle-free. Exactly as described in the listing. Clean (very!), well-maintained, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Decor was cozy and inviting, making it feel like a home away from home. Host was fantastic -- checked in with me shortly after arrival to ensure everything was to my liking and provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Always available to answer any questions I had, which made me feel well taken care of.
