Perfect getaway to magical Damascus

The property was clean and comfortable, and communicating with Melina was very timely and clear. The location is great, being close to Damascus, but far enough out to enjoy some rural quiet. The living area is spacious and comfortable. There are modern upgrades and fixtures throughout the house. Kitchen dishes, utensil, and cooking ware were more than enough. The wifi was good and strong. The door lock was straightforward, and the checkout process was very easy (unlike some other VRBOs I've stayed at). I have only a few comments, and they are very minor ones. First, the house wasn't quite ready at 4 pm, apparently due to some power outages that disrupted things while the bedding was being washed. So not Melina's or the cleaning lady's fault. Anyway, that was OK for us, since we just went into Damascus for a while, and when we came back everything was ready. 2nd, the laid stones off the side deck leading to the back yard are a little uneven, and one should take care not to trip on them, especially in the dark (although there's a motion-triggered light there, so just move carefully for a second or two until it comes on). Also, the sink in the master bathroom is designed such that the water splashes a little outside the basin when turned all the way up to hot. I'd never seen a sink designed that way. But again, these are very minor quibbles, Melina is a great host, and I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Damascus.
