About this house rental
This 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom luxury home is located in one of the most desirable vacation home areas. Just 10 minutes to town with the World Famous Hot Springs, shopping, dining and riverwalk and just 15 minutes to the top of the mountain where Wolf Creek Ski Resort is located. It's perfect for both summer and winter.
Winter's Cabin is newly built, perfectly decorated and amazing wood work throughout the home. As you walk in the home, you'll immediately be amazed by the views of the San Juan Mountains from every room. The living room is 2 story's high, wood fireplace, comfy leather couches, large TV and opens to the dining and kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and has everything a chef would want to make a warm meal after a long day in the snow. The large deck runs the full length of the home and has nice outside furniture to relax and to enjoy a meal. There is also a gas BBQ and a sunken hot tub.
The master and guest bedrooms are both on the main floor. The master has access to the deck, a king bed and large private bathroom and a gas fireplace. The guest bedroom has a king bed and has the house full bathroom just outside. Upstairs is a large loft where the kids can hang out, relax, and also have another full bathroom.
This area is perfect for evening walks, nearby hikes and also has private access to the San Juan River.
All trailers, RV's, campers or other recreation vehicles must be approved prior to arrival to be allowed on premises.
This home is pet friendly. There is a $75.00 pet fee per dog, as well as a $100.00 refundable deposit per dog. 2 dog max
This home does not allow smoking.
This home has AC.
There is also a 50 amp car charger in the garage.
Please note there is a $50 cancellation fee that applies to all cancellations made after booking.

This house is even more lovely than the pictures. And no pictures could do justice to the VIEWS off the back porch, oh my gosh! Almost mesmerizing. Love that we could see the views from the master, the living room, and the kitchen sink (best way to do dishes!). Paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, dishwashing liquid, and laundry soap were all provided, and we were very grateful. The furniture and appliances were high end and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped! Lots of streaming options and games available. We could tell we were staying in someone’s home that they had taken a lot of care and pride in, so thank you very much to the host! Communication with Maddie was great; she was on top of everything and very responsive (just general communication; we had zero issues while there!). Check out was straightforward and simple, just start the dishwasher. Location was perfect for us … between the town and the ski mountain; we really appreciated not having to drive thru town every morning, especially with the construction in Pagosa Springs. Our family was so comfortable here and enjoyed the home so much. Really cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay! Thank you; we hope to be back!

This home is very nice and the location is great but we would not stay here again. While the home is ornate and nicely decorated, exactly what you would expect from a luxury property, there are details that just miss the mark and keep it from being 5 star. The property needs ground maintenance and clean up, it is also clear that it has not been deep cleaned in a while. We were not able to take full advantage of the master shower because the shower heads have not been cleaned properly and had calcified. The blinds in the master bedroom were broken, also cobwebs and dust are something I do not expect to find when paying a $250 cleaning fee. Additionally while there is room for a family to stay, it is not really set up for a kids. There are only 2 TVs, which is not always ideal for a family, and the bed in the loft that makes it difficult to sleep without hearing everything. However, our biggest complaint and the reason we would not stay here again is the beds are horrific!! They are the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. After bringing this to managements attention, I felt a little gaslit when the response was “beds are subjective”. However the master bedroom mattress was manufactured in 2003, a 20 year old mattress is no longer comfortable. It was like sleeping on the hardwood floor, it caused so much pain. The mattress upstairs was like sleeping on a trampoline at a 20 degree angle. For a Luxury property I expect high quality, and this one does not offer that.
