Lossiemouth Bay Cottage

Property was in a great location a short walk from the centre of Lossiemouth and had everything we needed.

Despite advertising that free WiFi was available this isn’t the case and you need to pay for this separately on site. We booked through Sykes Cottages and found their service to be very poor. We tried to contact them during our 4 day stay about 1 issue and didn’t get any response until after we’d checked out (and even the response was just a generic response asking for security details so the issue was never addressed).

Quiet location, plenty room, comfortable beds, clean and en-suite for all rooms basically. Downstairs loo. 2nd lounge area

Few lamps so big lights on all the time, no basics like olive oil, salt, washing up liquid or tea towels yet there was bath towels.. which was great. The outside seating area could do with some tlc amd softening up because it’s a super sun trap!

The house inside was very nice

The house is situated right in the middle of a caravan park, which isn't stated anywhere. It says you can use the facilities in the neighbouring caravan site, not that your in a caravan site, also the neighbouring caravan site is an 8 minute drive away. The house is surrounded on all sides by caravans only a few feet away. Lots of light bulbs out around the house. And the free WiFi doesn't work . We reported this to the park team when the call to check we had checked on ok and said they would get these fixed and that the WiFi is an issue every time people come to stay. They even called back to ask if it was ok for maintenance to enter the house as we were out , which I said was fine. However when we got home nothing had been done Also none of the rooms had curtains just slated blinds so from early morning 5am ish your getting woken by the light coming in, also the downstairs bathroom has no blind on the window so anyone walking past can see through the window even though it's frosted glass
