BAMBOO Shack & BAMBOO Cabin

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en hielp ons enorm. Het was een mooie locatie (mooi uitzicht ook) en luxe huisjes.

A very unique experience staying right on the doorstep of a rice-field, but still within walking distance to the main attractions. Staff were friendly and the 'tent unit' had an ensuite shower room and western style toilet. Breakfast consisted of a choice of 3 - banana pancake, omelette or traditional rice, with tea of coffee. There was a big mineral water container with a pump fitted in the unit, so you could have as much as you need - nice touch!

Limited working electrical sockets in the room. For light sleepers, there is a dawn chorus from all the mosques around - which happens between 4.30 and 5.30am. Personally this just added to the experience.

The rooms were very cool and aesthetic. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were good. The breakfast was good quality although there was a slight miscommunication with timings. When we checked in we were offered banana pancakes at 10am due to arriving on the veryyy long 16 hour bus from Bukittinggi so we wanted a lie in. Unfortunately at 9:30 we discovered a very cold tiffin outside our l door that had been there for well over an hour. We did communicate our issue with this and everything was well resolved! Next day, breakfast came at the right time, yummy and hot! No complaints:) The staff were very helpful and kind. They helped us book a local bus to Padang :)

The fan is mounted on the wall quite far away from the bed so can’t feel any air from it. I would recommend a stand alone fan so customers can move it closer if hot. Also, no hot water. We were informed there would be but not too bad if a hot day
