Be carefull of agent named jodee and ohana homestay. They intentionally deducted your depo as they found items provided in the room damaged after your check out. In fact is the item was already damaged and not in the condition during check in but you did not took photo of it as you dont expect this would happen. I belive they intentionally did this to all customers. Avoid these name i have mentioned.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!! DEFINITELY WONT GO BACK TO THIS TERRIBLE HOMESTAY! Our stay was very short. We checked in at 26 may after 11:00 PM, had a quick supper, went to bed, and checked out at 11:00 AM the next morning. After check-out, the host informed us that a window was damaged and withheld our RM200 security deposit. When we arrived, one of us noticed that the window was already damaged while we were looking at the night view. Since the damage appeared to be pre-existing and was clearly not caused by us, we did not think it would later become an issue. We therefore did not take photographs or report it to the host, assuming the management was already aware of the condition of their own property. Unfortunately, because we arrived late at night and stayed for only one night, we did not conduct a detailed inspection of the unit or record photos and videos upon check-in. This left us without evidence to support our claim later. Following our check-out, I cooperated fully and waited patiently for more than two weeks while the management investigated the matter. I genuinely hoped they would determine the actual cause of the damage rather than simply assign responsibility to the most recent guest. However, after repeated delays, the final conclusion provided by the management was that they could not confirm whether the damage was caused by structural issues, and because there was no record of the damage before my check-in, they assumed that I was responsible. Based solely on that assumption, my full RM200 deposit was retained. I acknowledge that we should have reported the damage immediately upon arrival. However, I also believe that if a security deposit is required, the host should maintain proper pre-check-in inspection records documenting the condition of the unit before each guest arrives. Such records would protect both guests and hosts from unfair disputes. After reading other guest reviews, I noticed similar concerns regarding security deposit deductions. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that future guests take comprehensive photos and videos of the entire unit immediately upon check-in—including windows, walls, doors, furniture, and appliances—and report any existing issues to the host right away, even if arriving late at night. My disappointment is not only about the RM200 deposit, but also about being held responsible for damage without any clear evidence proving that I caused it. Guests should not be found liable based on assumptions when the actual cause of the damage remains uncertain. Throughout the entire process, no professional report, inspection record, technical assessment, or other supporting documentation was provided. They just concluded the issue with their verbal assumption. Also, the Management attitude was sooooooooooooo RUDE!!! Rather than approaching the situation professionally and objectively, they contacted me in an accusatory manner from the beginning, questioning why I had "made the window like this" before any investigation had been completed. 总结一句，最好一进去homestay就把每一个角落搜索一遍，记得拍照留证据，不然你就是下一个倒霉蛋。他们找到有坏的地方或物品，就会诬赖是你弄的，然后理所当然不归还deposit！他们都会用同一个说法，就是你checkin前没有东西损坏的report。所以只能怪你了。我们没有拍照没有证据，实在跳进黄河洗不清。理亏了。当作花钱买教训吧！再也不会去住这间！
