La Maison Plakes Rooftop Apt

The location was good and close to small supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It was somewhat of a walk into the main town but it was pleasant and not too steep. The apartment was clean and well serviced. The host was most helpful with suggestions for sights and things to do and communicated well.

It was a little crowded even with the four of us in a three bed apartment. The kitchen\lounge-living area is relatively small. There was a fantastic view over Skiathos from the rooftop. However, there was not enough shade provided by the minimal covering so using during a hot day was not realistic. I wouldn't recommend for people with disabilities.

The property had working amenities, great AC, lovely, beautiful terrace view. The host was very communicative and kind, he even allowed us to check in early with our toddler so we would escape the heat. We locked ourselves out and the host came and helped us, without delay.

It is on a hill so keep in mind it would be tricky to bring up heavy suitcases. A taxi could leave you at the nearby church and would spare you the heavy lifting.

The home is just beautiful and modern and extremely well kept and clean. The location is perfect - in a quiet residential area but within a 3 minute walk to the port and all the restaurants and action. It has a private roof top patio that is very spacious and looks on to the mountains on two sides and the Aegean Sea on the other two! Unbelievable! Dimitris, our host, was so kind and welcoming. He told us what to do and what to not waste our time and money on. He guided us along the way given weather conditions or other questions immediately upon our writing him. The housekeeping staff, though not thrilled that we happened upon her cleaning - having seen her clean - I can say that she is thorough and takes her responsibilities very seriously. Not a bug or a speck of dust in sight. I would highly recommend this home for your stay as I can think of nothing that needs improving - nothing!

Everything was great, outside of our welcoming.

Property was being cleaned when we arrived and the person cleaning was very rude, and frustrated that we only booked for one night. I don’t understand why they accept one night bookings if they don’t want it.
