Grace Samudera Hotel

The hotel is situated right at the jetty, thus easy access to diving spots and all the scuba diving/snorkeling operators in the area. We had a room high up and was fit for purpose for the short stay before we travelled out to the water villas.

Breakfast is offered for 2 choices (off-site) - for a more Western menu the further option was better. But may be an issue if it rains and can be difficult to find.

OK. Breakfast was served at a kopitiam nearby as the hotel does not have an F&B facility.

The lobby is too small and does not have enough sofas or chairs for guests to sit, especially when need to wait for a taxi or a friend to come to meet. The wifi is open and unsecured. Please have secured wifi for guests. This is the part I did not like the most.

Great location for Semporna waterfront

Overpriced in my opinion. I paid RM250 plus RM10 for one night. Very clean and a brand new Hotel. On arrival I was asked for a RM100 deposit, taken on my credit card. This is a pre-auth type arrangement but it takes a week to reconcile with the bank. Breakfast was not served in the Hotel, it is served in a little cafe/restaurant about 200 metres away, they don't tell you that when you book. Chair at the desk broke as soon as I sat in it but they changed it immediately. Lock on door would not work properly but they attempted to mend it. Room safe needed resetting. Room very nice. Bed very comfortable.
