Cozy Oceanfront Beach House 5Bed/3Bath Sleeps 16 with Pool Pet Friendly

This was our first trip to Oak Island. This home worked well for us. The location and view were wonderful. The pool, jacuzzi, and the porch swing were some of our favorite spots. The house needs some extra attention regarding overall cleanliness. Ceiling fans needed dusting, dirty bathroom rugs in downstairs bath, dirty light/vent in the upstairs bath and parking area had multiple old items just laying around. The bunk beds were very unstable and flimsy. Some TV’s were not connected to the cable system or would not change channels. Bathtub in the hall bath upstairs drained very slowly. The boardwalk out to the beach had several exposed nails and wobbly boards. Also would recommend trimming back some of the greenery on the path to the beach, was very overgrown.

Host was very responsive and house was great for a great week at the beach. Very nice house-we so enjoyed the decks off the living room and the bedrooms. Hot Tub was great. Would definitely come back!

House is located in a great area, but the house was not clean. One toilet had the clean band on the seat with toilet paper and urine in it. The house felt like it was just wiped down not cleaned. Many decking and walkway boards need to be repaired or replaced causing tripping hazard for grandparents and kids. The pool heater was broken, and we were informed 2 days before the trip, and this was the #1 reason we booked the house, very poor communication.
