About this house rental

Large oceanfront home on nearly one acre of private land at the cul-de-sec next to city-owned wooded conservation land. It is centrally located 1 exit to Cape Cod and 45 mins south of Boston. Short walk to the private beach. Kick back and relax in this Coastal Colonial with modern amenities. Enjoy the sunrise and moonlight from the comfort of your vacation hideaway with a private backyard overlooking the expansive Cape Cod Bay. After a day of adventure on the ocean (private beach or the long beach) or taking a hike at the nearby Ellisville Harbor State Park or visiting the historic Plimoth Pautxet, you can sit on the patio by the fire pit, or warm up around two indoor fireplaces, before heading to bed with luxury grade linens and comfy pillows.

The first floor features a modern and expansive kitchen with many amenities, like a gas range, coffee maker, espresso machine, and air fryer, which leads into a dining space overlooking the ocean suited for up to 12 people, flowing into a comfortable family room with an electric gas fireplace and a large 70" smart TV. Other common areas on the first floor include a three-season patio room that leads out to the patio and a large living room with sliding doors facing the ocean, another 75" smart TV, and yet another electric gas fireplace; adjacent to the living room is a private office with a pull-out couch. The first-floor bedroom has a suite-like feel, with a pocket door that detaches the space from the common areas, and a full bathroom.

On the second floor, the primary bedroom boasts spectacular views of the ocean – on lucky days watch the dancing of the whales - from the bedroom and an attached large en-suite bathroom with a huge shower and dual vanity. The two other bedrooms share a full bathroom in the hallway with laundry. While both bedrooms have queen beds, the green room features a completely detachable trundle single-sized bed. This home comfortably sleeps nine with an option to sleep eleven if you use the sofa in the study as a bed.

This property was more than advertised! It was a perfect fit for our three generations of family members, and the location was really good, since it's not out on the cape itself. We did end up driving to beaches, but that allowed us to sample various ones from Plymouth to the canal. Great time was had by all!

The pictures for this listing initially caught my eye, but the property in person was even better. We had a group of nine ages 1 to 74, and we all enjoyed it. The views were spectacular, the home was charming, the beds were comfortable, and there weren't many amenities we had to get ourselves besides food. There are homes around, but it's still very private. We took advantage of the gas firepit, the spacious kitchen table, a few games they had available, and the roomy kitchen for cooking breakfast. Clements' Marketplace was convenient for getting groceries, and we also made a stop at the dollar store and Leyden Street Coffee in the same shopping center. We highly recommend Heritage Museums and Gardens 20 minutes away. It was beautiful, a nice walk, and there was a well done children's area called Hidden Hollow with lots of hands-on activities. The historic cars were fun to look at, too, and we all rode the carousel on the property. There's an adventure course at the same location, but we didn't have time for that one.We also visited downtown Plymouth with its pretty waterfront area, lots of shops, ice cream, and a Mayflower replica. The nearby beaches were gorgeous, and we found a great quiet spot to build sandcastles. The only thing I'd add to this property are a few toys and books for younger guests. We did find some inexpensive beach toys at the dollar store since we didn't want to bring that kind of stuff on the plane.

We found in this house everything we were looking for during this family vacation. We could all gather but we could also spread around. Sit outside and enjoy the breathtaking views or take a stroll to the nearby beach. Plymouth has a great selection of restaurants and we enjoyed the beautiful golf course around us. 7 days of relaxation and fun. Definitively on top of our list for a rental in the area. Thank you
