About this villa rental
The entire house is rented to a single family or group and has 5 bedrooms, air conditioning in all rooms, 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms, a jacuzzi, and an outdoor pool heated to 30 degrees Celsius year-round, all private and exclusive for one family or group. Maximum 14 people.

Located in one of the greenest and most picturesque areas of this valley, surrounded by a forest of oaks, cork oaks, and pines that create a relaxing atmosphere.
5 minutes from one of the 5 best beaches in Europe: Foz do Minho and Vila Praia de Ancora.
This is a romantic spot where you can hike, spot wildlife (rabbits, squirrels, and with luck eagles, herons, and otters by the river), go canoeing, and adults will have a large "pool" in the summer because the river is 400 meters away and shallow.
The property is completely independent and exclusive. It has free parking for 5 cars inside, in the garden.
The house is equipped with all comforts. It has 5 bedrooms, all with double beds, one with an extra single bed and another with a triple bunk bed, accommodating up to 14 people. There are 3 full bathrooms with hot showers, and another solar shower next to the pool. Outside there is a large surrounding lawn area and a barbecue. However, it is ideal for 10 adults and 4 children.
The main kitchen has an island, sofas, and a TV, allowing it to be used as a living room and to keep company with whoever is cooking.
The covered outdoor terrace has a table for 12+2 people.
All 5 bedrooms have at least one double bed, 3 of them with flat-screen TVs with Netflix, Wi-Fi and private bathroom.

The rental refers to the entire property (two adjoining stone houses, forming one). It is not shared.

River beach 400 meters away (walkable). The sea beach is 1.5 km away. Walkable.
Supermarkets 3 minutes away.
Cool in summer, as it is partly stone, has very effective air conditioning inside. There is a baby cot. Electric bicycles are also available for rent, by reservation.
Outdoor area with garden furniture for al fresco dining. The house has the charm of stone. Young people and adults usually enjoy it.
1 km from restaurants and 2 km from the Continente supermarket.
Easy access allows visits to the north or south: Viana do Castelo is a city you can't miss. To the north you can visit Moledo, Caminha and take the ferry to Spain where you can visit Monte de Santa Tecla with its hill forts and from its summit observe the spectacular views of the Minho River estuary.
It is 45 minutes from Porto airport.

The kitchen is very well equipped with dishes, glasses, cutlery, corkscrew, sink, washing machine, and pots and pans; it has a refrigerator, large freezer, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, electric grill, toaster, and Dolce Gusto capsule espresso machine. The chalet has two tables for 14 people, also outside.
It has a laundry room with a washing machine and drying area.
The house, an old shed of traditional Minho architecture from the late 19th century, restored and adapted, is located on a small farm near the Âncora River, with leafy banks, beautiful watermills and ponds where trout can be fished.
An area of great scenic beauty and rich monuments, as well as beautiful beaches 2.5 km away (Moledo, Forte do Cao; Afife...), just off the A28 motorway and the fine white sand beaches of Paço and Carreço. Good gastronomy as part of the Vinho Verde Wine Route.

We just returned from a wonderful two weeks at this property. It is in a lovely, scenic, private location while also being nearby to local town/beach.
We were two families of 4 and were surprised to find that the property was two buildings, not one, but this did not cause any problems. It is worth noting that one bedroom (with bunk beds) in is separate annex, therefore to secure this at night we had to rely on our young children being able to operate the key lock, which wasn’t ideal, but would be fine for older children/adults.
The villas were really clean and well equipped with table football / games, a lovely warm pool and hot tub, loads of kitchen appliances and tv’s with hdmi ports. The garden is large, well kept and not overlooked at all.
There is no air conditioning in any of the buildings but we were only hot on a couple of nights as the properties kept fairly cool. There was one fan available to use if needed.
Thank you to Manuel who was a great host. He met us at the property on arrival and kept the pool and hot tub clean throughout the stay. He was very helpful and friendly.
We would definitely recommend this property for a family stay. Our favourite memory is sitting out at night watching the many shooting stars.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The Villa has everything you need. We were a family of 5 and it was perfect for everyone, even a grumpy teenage boy! We didn’t hire a car and it was fine, we walked to various places nearby. There is plenty to see in a week just in the local area. The surrounding areas are beautiful, we completely fell in love with the place. Manuel was the perfect host. Communicated really well and was really accommodating. We can’t wait to go back.

Just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks in this villa. It is perfect for 2 families as there is the main house with 2 bedrooms and a separate house with a further 2 bedrooms.
The pool was a great size as was the hot tub. It was hard to drag ourselves away from the pool and villa but when we did there is lots to see. Villa Praia d'Ancora has an amazing large sandy beach and the town has lots of good restaurants.
We also visited Porto, Braga and Ponte de Lima which were all beautiful.
Manuel is a great host and was happy to help during our stay and reacted very quickly to any request.
The kitchen is very well equiped for a group of 8 and plenty of room to all sit together outside.
All in all a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.
