Location was unbeatable and accommodation was good.
Recepcionist assured towels would be changed daily, but it wasn’t like that.

We were in a tricky situation with our original accommodation proving uninhabitable that evening. We found Mates Istiklal and called them and Yusuf the building manager helped us out immediately. He really is a superstar, assisting with whatever we needed immediately - I can't thank him enough for making it a pleasant stay. The accomodation itself is a solid 8/10. It's clean and comfortable enough but quite cramped. The location is great with lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. For what we paid with the Booking discount, it was great value for money. If you struggle with climbing stairs I would not recommend it as there is no elevator. Overall we enjoyed our time at Mates and it was a memorable experience.
