It was great! Perfectly located in gaslamp district with walking distance to many restaurants. The room was clean and nice.
There was a clicking noise in the door mechanism in our room every 10 to 12 minutes keeping me awake all night long! It was frustrating because we had a funeral to attend to early the next morning. But the staff was very understanding and compensated me for the trouble so that made it better but still did not get any sleep the whole night. I hope they fixed the problem.

I loved the location I love how everything I was going to during my stay was only a couple mins away , I love the streaming source on the television bed was comfy . No complaints the staff gave me a free drink at the bar for my birthday which was really sweet .
I didn’t like how expensive the valet was I just used uber this trip but for people visiting it’s a little crazy , and was also sad that you had to pay for breakfast when I booked I thought it was free breakfast , I didn’t get to see the roof top I didn’t know it closed so early so got to miss out what that experience was and the pool was closed my whole stay which is why I booked and the roof top .

The facility itself was very nice. They also have two bars, one on the ground floor and one on the rooftop.
There is no parking from the facility itself. You have to pay for parking at about 60 dollars per night.

I love how it was in the middle of everything whatever I needed was walking distance, and the staff was great as well.
No complaints.

The rooftop heated pool :)
That the roof top bar was closed my entire stay as this was a reason I chose to stay at this particular location. The staff was great :)

The hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful . my room was really nice and modern.
It’s a double edge sword when it comes to the location. The noise level from the club’s surrounding the hotel were insane if you’re in your 20s/30s or if you like to party, regardless of your age then it’s the perfect location.

The convenience of being around everything in the gaslamp
It’s a small issue but the ac wasn’t working in our room but it didn’t matter because we were out and about and it was pretty cold at night.

The location was centrally located. 🤷♀️
-The had no balcony rooms available even though we clearly booked a room with a balcony.
-When this issue was brought up, the woman at the front desk was rude, dismissive, said there was no manger available. She told me to call booking.com and began complaining angrily to another employee within hearing range.
-When I submitted cancellation request through booking.com, the hotel pretended not to get the request. It was a if they had never worked with booking.com before.
-To get the cancellation approved, we spent hours on hold with multiple phone calls to booking.com and this hotel over multiple days.

Good location – walkable to most places like Seaport Village and, of course, the Gaslamp Quarter’s bars and restaurants. The rooftop pool was nice – although very busy when we were there, so we couldn’t get a spot to relax in the evening.
Didn’t really feel we got value for money – the room was very average and looked out onto a rough-looking building in the central courtyard. We found much better value in LA. The hotel was also difficult to contact before our stay – neither this app nor email got us any answers, which was disappointing. Drinks at the rooftop bar were extremely expensive for what felt like small portions. Overall, the stay was just okay – nothing special, but nothing terrible either.

We really liked the hotel. We really love the pool and lounge area. I do wish the pool hours were longer. I would’ve loved to sit on the rooftop at night to get some outdoor relaxing time. It was ridiculously hot on Sunday and Monday. We did not spend much time up there during the day.
The street noise inside of the room was ridiculously loud. And I realize you can’t do anything about that, except the noise canceling sound machine in the earplugs already in the room. That was a great idea. For the most part, it worked the trash truck, however Monday morning at 5 AM was not canceled out by the noise machine. Booo One crazy silly thing about San Diego. I had the hardest time finding black iced tea. Which I found to be kind of crazy.

Staff super friendly. Great location!
Appetizers at the pool. I had the hummus, Marconi almonds and olives. The hummus came with limp celery the almonds were oily with no flavor. Over priced for sub par food

We love the hotel and the room! Services was great and so was the location.
One thing we didn’t like is that we left the hotel at 11 am to have brunch and came back and our room hadn’t been service! We called and they say they start cleaning at 8. We did receive extra towels when we asked both days.

Staff was friendly, pool area was nice.
Beds were very firm and uncomfortable. Room had a tiny window looking at a wall—it felt like a cave. The surrounding area was really gross and food was tourist traps. The paid breakfast at the hotel didn’t even have eggs, it was very minimal for the extra cost.

NOTHING.
I stayed at the AC Hotel in San Diego’s Gaslamp District this week for the ASU+GSV conference. On my second day, I left my Beats Pro Headphones in my room to lighten my backpack. When I returned that evening, the headphones were gone. I knew exactly where I had left them.
I immediately reported the theft to the front desk, who apologized and promised a manager would follow up before 9 a.m. the next day. That never happened. Upon checking out the following morning, I brought it up again and was told someone would contact me. Hours later — still nothing.
When I returned in the afternoon, I again followed up and spoke with the housekeeping manager, who told me she had spoken to the housekeeper (Irelene) and that nothing had been taken. This was not only false — it was a blatant lie and clearly a cover-up. I then asked to speak with the hotel manager, Anthony, who showed absolutely no concern. Instead of addressing the issue, he chose to mock my concern and said, “We have to take her word for it,” as if a paying guest’s word means nothing.
I told him I would be filing a police report and warning others about this hotel, which did not bother him in the slightest.
While I was willing to overlook the dirty room (moldy bathtub grout and a previously used lotion bottle left behind), the theft and lack of communication, empathy, or accountability is unacceptable. This hotel does not care about its guests, their belongings, or basic customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Perfect area for bar hopping and night life.
The staff have so much attitude and were taking naps on the furniture. Got upset we woke her up to ask a question.

Close to everything and the room was very modern and fresh.
While the location is great for access to everything in the Gaslamp district, be prepared for the party noise on the street until about 3 a.m. The hotel does a good job of proving a sound machine to help offset the noise.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for our incredible weekend getaway! This hotel is an absolute gem nestled on 5th Street, offering unparalleled convenience. The moment you step outside, you're greeted with a vibrant array of bars and restaurants, each one waiting to tantalize your taste buds and quench your thirst. And here's the best part: it's just a quick 5-minute drive to the renowned SD Zoo, ensuring endless excitement and adventure!
Now, let me tell you about the icing on the cake – the brand-new Rooftop bar. This place quickly became our absolute favorite spot to unwind after a day filled with exploration. The credit for our unforgettable experiences goes to none other than the amazing Manager, Dre. From the moment we set foot in the rooftop bar, Dre showered us with exceptional care and attention. His warm and friendly demeanor instantly made us feel right at home, and he ensured that every moment spent there was nothing short of extraordinary. It was an absolute pleasure to engage in lively conversations with Dre and bask in his contagious enthusiasm. He truly embodies the essence of outstanding hospitality, making us eagerly anticipate every visit.
Now, let's talk about the view. Oh boy, brace yourself for sheer magnificence! In my humble opinion, this rooftop bar boasts the most breathtaking view of any establishment in the entire city. Imagine sipping on your favorite cocktail while being treated to a mesmerizing panorama of the cityscape stretching out before you. It's a sensory feast that will leave you in awe, cherishing memories that will last a lifetime.
In conclusion, our stay at this remarkable hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. The perfect location, the vibrant atmosphere, the exceptional service from Manager Dre, and the awe-inspiring view from the rooftop bar all contributed to an unforgettable experience.
Now, let's address the only minor hiccup during our stay – the parking situation. While everything else about this hotel was simply spectacular, I must mention that parking can be a bit of a challenge. However, fear not! I have a valuable tip that will save you from any parking-related inconvenience.
I highly recommend opting for the valet parking service available at the hotel. Yes, it does come with a cost, but let me assure you, it's worth every penny. With valet parking, you can bid farewell to the hassle of searching for a parking spot and maneuvering through the busy streets. Instead, you'll be greeted by a team of friendly and efficient valets who will whisk away your vehicle with utmost care. Trust me, this convenient service allows you to focus on enjoying your getaway to the fullest, without worrying about the logistics of parking.
Now, you might be wondering about the alternative – self-parking. While it is an option, I must be honest and say that it's not the most convenient choice. Self-parking requires you to find a spot on your own, and unfortunately, the available parking is located about three blocks away from the hotel. Sure, it may be marginally cheaper by $10, but considering the distance and the inconvenience of walking back to the hotel with all your luggage in tow, it's a trade-off that's simply not worth it.

Technology in the rooms are great and upgraded
Poor customer service at front desk. They made it seem like breakfast was free. Also, my bathroom had a major leak and larger shower head didn’t work.
