Cozy one bedroom one bath cottage. Located along the black river. 200 feet of water frontage. Canoe launch one mile up the road. Located within a few miles of ATV/UTV trails. Kayaks available. Gas grill available. Plenty of fire wood on site. Endless public land available for hunting, fishing and hiking. Casino in Black River Falls 15 minutes away.

Check-in was very easy; owner allowed us to check-in early which was very appreciated! The kitchen had everything we looked for. Our only issue was the property info said there was a gas grill available but there was not. So, we brought our steak home with us and went out to dinner which we hadn't planned on.

Some minor details have us taking away one star, but those details would not deter us from returning or recommending it. Absolutely wonderful location. Only a 15 min scenic road ride to the ATV trails. The property is a gem and the owner was very friendly and responsive with the few questions we had. Really enjoyed our time there!

It was ok as hotels in Black River Falls not highly rated. Remote if that is a feature you want. Driving on rural rough roads. View of river was very nice. 2 Adjacent houses were close so this might be a consideration in warm months.
Instructions for using gas fireplace & floor heat would be useful. It was cool & rainy during my stay.
Layout of cottage good. Beds very comfortable.
some matching glassware & more than one wine glass should be stocked. Kitchen utensils mostly odds & ends. Functional pans, tableware etc.
