When you are ready to venture out, visit nearby Port St. Joe for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Downtown offers cute shops along Reid Avenue, many restaurants, and grocery stores. Do not forget to check out the historical Lighthouse and Sea Turtle Museum. We love our sea turtles!
Less than a 10-minute drive is the popular St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, known for its untouched beaches, tall dunes, wildlife, and great snorkeling. You will have access to the Gulf of Mexico and the St Joe Bay where you can launch kayaks and paddleboards.
Visit nearby Salinas Park with pickleball courts, a playground, fire pit, or launch a kayak or paddleboard in the St. Joe Bay. For an amazing experience, you can horseback ride on the beach from Salinas Park.
If you are interested in wildlife and natural beauty, plan a trip over to St. Vincent Island by ferry boat for the day. Hike around the island and explore our native wildlife and foliage. About 30 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River or grab some of the best seafood around. You won't be disappointed by the area's many options, all without the crowds or traffic!

Pet policy: This home is pet-friendly, and allows up to 2 dogs. If you choose to bring a pet, a charge of $125, plus tax, will be added to your reservation after you book.

Linens and supplies: This home comes with everything you need! All bed and bath linens are supplied, as well as all cookware, dinnerware and glassware in the kitchen. A few essential items are provided upon arrival: Dawn dishwashing soap, one sponge, two dishwasher pods, one garbage bag, one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, two individual/small bars of soap per bathroom, one laundry powder and one fabric softener.
Beach gear and recreation equipment: Some of our properties typically have beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc.) on site. However, there is no guarantee as these items tend to come and go throughout the year.
Age requirement: Minimum age limit to rent this home is 25 years old.
Credit card fee: All payments are subject to a 3.25% credit card processing fee. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
Rental agreement: A signed rental agreement is required upon booking.
Monthly rentals: SNOWBIRDS WELCOME! Monthly rental rates are available during the winter season, November through early March. Please contact Sunshine Vacation Rentals if you are interested.
Cancellation policy: We strongly encourage our guests to purchase the optional travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. All reservations include an administrative fee of $35 (plus taxes) upon booking which is non-refundable in the event of a reservation cancellation. Credit cards processing fees will be charged upon cancellation which is equal to 3.25% of all payments made.
Reservations canceled at least 60 days before check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled between 30 to 60 days before check-in date will receive a 50% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled less than 30 days before check-in date will result in forfeiture of the full advance rental payments and any other payments.

Loved our stay at Sierra Del Mar. Very comfortable beds and furniture. There were so many gadgets in the kitchen. Room for everyone to hangout together, or on their own. The pool was right out back, and the beach was just past that over the sand dunes. Great location for easy access to the beach. Two of the patios had mosquito netting, which was great, and the third balcony at the top was perfect for star gazing at night. St. Joseph State Park is just down the road if you want to go see a different beach with more waves. At the house the water was more calm although not as clear. The absolute best part is, that it's not crowded at all. We had so much room at the beach, with plenty of space for the kids to run around and play in the sand. We flew kites, had a beach puddle and still had plenty of room between us and the next family. There were even dolphins swiming near us the first day we arrive. All around loved our stay.

I was pretty disappointed with the house. It really needs to have a lot of work on the outside decks and railings. The other homes in this subdivision have had a lot of work and look great. On the inside the flooring in the hallway seems to have issues as well. Feels Squishy when walking out of master along the where the washer and dryer are.
It has so much potential just feels a bit neglected.
The positive is that it is by the pool and short walk to the beach.
The management company is very good and very responsive.
