About this cabin rental
The Surroundings
Located on 5 acres of the gorgeous hillside, you’ll have plenty of space for sprawling out and enjoying the fresh mountain air in privacy. Get ready to take in clear night skies full of brilliant constellations from the back-patio hot tub— whether it’s a cold winter night or a fresh summer evening.
The Amenities
The Haskill House is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and of course, all you need for coffee each morning! Enjoy your meals together around the dining room table, or take it to the back patio for an epic barbecue.
After hiking through GNP or skiing down Whitefish Mountain, decamp to the family room for a movie night. This comfy space includes a flatscreen TV with streaming access and WiFi. (A note about WiFi: because our area has only satellite internet, you’ll need to be aware of multiple devices. After all, we are in rural Montana!).
Share some bedtime stories up in the kids tree house or pour some hot cocoa and gather around the outdoor fireplace, looking out at the expansive landscape. It’s especially beautiful when snow is softly falling!
Bedrooms include a secluded master with a king bed and a queen bedroom on the main floor, and a third bedroom upstairs with two full size beds. With three full bathrooms, there is plenty of space for everyone to keep up with daily routines before hitting the slopes of Whitefish Mountain or taking a trip into Glacier National Park.
Heading Into Town
While the home feels just the right amount of secluded, you are still only 4 miles away from town. Whitefish Mountain is 10.8 miles away, for all your skiing and snowboarding fun! Glacier National Park is only 26.5 miles out and is home to many outdoor adventures like fishing, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding. While you’re here, be sure to check out some fantastic hiking trails, including Haskill Basin TrailHead, located less .5 miles up the road.
If you’re visiting during the summer, the golfing is fantastic, with Whitefish Lake Golf Course just a short drive away. Whitefish also has plenty of options for dining, bar-hopping, and quaint coffee shops—it really is the quintessential mountain town. This is the ideal home base for exploring the vast beauty of this special place! We hope to see you soon.
If you're not familiar with Montana snow, know that it comes down hard and fast. We'll do our best to keep the driveway plowed during storms, but several inches per hour is not uncommon, and can be difficult to manage at times. We have a plow company on contract that swings by in the mornings when there is snow. They'll usually have the driveway plowed by 9am, but heavy storms can occasionally cause delays of one to two hours. We also have multiple snow shovels on hand for your use just in case. We highly recommend renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle during the Winter months. We keep the home stocked with firewood year round, so don't worry, you'll never be without.
Guests will have access to the entire home. It's all yours!
Unfortunately due to the location of our home and the relatively small population size of the area, there are no reliable public transport options. Finding a ride with services like Lyft and Uber may be possible depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
We live locally, so feel free to reach out with any questions you might have about our home or the area. We're happy to help!
