About this cabin rental
Quiet and secluded with soothing sounds of the stream heard from the deck and a few bedroom windows. Balsam Wood is a comfortable mountain escape located in a gated community with no neighbors in site. The home sits on a hillside with expansive decks that wrap around the home offering stunning views of Mt. Timpanogos. The glacial runoff creating Stewart Falls (just a few miles hike from the cabin) runs year round just below the property.
The 5 bedrooms are all on the upper level. The master bedroom with vaulted ceilings offers beautiful views of the mountains and forest. The other bedrooms are great but fall short in comparison so you might be drawing straws for the views. The library bedroom with a queen bed is connected to the master bath along with the master bedroom. The other 3 bedrooms share a full bath with shower and a dry sauna.
The main level consists of a full bath with shower/tub combo next to the game room with air hockey and a trundle bed.
Balsam Road is a quiet corner of the mountain consisting of 4 homes. We are managing the last 3 homes on the lane. Carpe Montem is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home that is the next home down from Balsam Wood at the end of the lane. The views are just as impressive and the home was just renovated. Mountain Modern is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home with an impressive bunk room, beautiful design and layout. These three homes rented together would have 15 bedrooms combined and they are the last three homes at the end of the lane just a few hundred feet apart.

Great stay! Loved the home - cozy, with character. Secluded, quiet. The best part was hearing the river at night with windows open in the Master bedroom. Just a few minor things - internet wasn’t working in master bedroom and spotty upstairs. Master shower was clogged and not draining. The body wash & shampoo bottles were watered down. But, the staff was attentive to our needs and responsive. They fixed things in a timely manner - especially for being over a busy holiday weekend. Thank you!

Balsam Wood is Such a beautiful property! This cabin is so cozy and perfect for a getaway or family gathering. The wrap around patio is a dream, and we noticed everyone gravitated to hang there. The views are INCREDIBLE. truly couldn’t find something with a better view.We went is August, And there were plenty of fans to keep the house cool. Totally stocked with blankets, plenty of towels, everything you’d need in the kitchen, and even had condiments in the fridge.The hosts were so great at communicating in the weeks leading up to our visit. And checked in on us throughout our stay. Checkout process was super easy. Loved everything about our stay.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Balsam Wood. we initially booked with VRBO, however, I would definitely book directly through Stewart Mountain Lodging, in the future!
I cannot tell you how exceptional the service we received from Stewart Mountain Lodging. Upon booking, I was sent an email with all the details of our rental we had concierge service that was unbelievable. Their attention to detail and information was impeccable. Ally was our concierge, however, the entire team was amazing. Anytime we had a question or request they handled it flawlessly.
Upon arrival, my family with blown away at how warm and beautiful our rental was. An amazing bedroom with comfortable beds to stay in. But I must say the master bedroom is like being in a winter Wonderland snow globe!
We did one into one problem with our rental car that is, we rented a suburban and was told that it was a 4 x 4, however, it was a 2wd. So getting 10 inches of snow on the first day we became stuck in the driveway. I called the rental office and Wyatt came to our rescue. He was able to give us walking directions to Sundance. He also arranged for someone to pick us up after we were done skiing. Come to find out, it was the owner of the company that picked us up and made sure we got back to our house safely. If I had room to write more .. I would!!!
