Welcome to the Kozy Cabin, a true lakefront getaway with 75 feet of private frontage on beautiful Johnson Lake, just 7 minutes from Minocqua. This cozy Northwoods cabin offers stunning lake views from the living room, kitchen, primary bedroom, and deck, so you’re always connected to the water.
A gentle slope leads down to the private dock with a mix of sandy and rocky frontage, making it easy for kids and adults to enjoy swimming, paddling, and time on the lake. Johnson Lake is a full recreation lake, ideal for boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, and classic summer fun, while still offering a relaxed Northwoods feel close to town.

Summer days here are all about lake time and easy living. Start your mornings on the deck with coffee, spend the day on the water, and wind down by the fire pit in the evening.

The Cabin:
This is our family cabin and a place designed to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the Northwoods. Whether you’re here for lake days, trail adventures, or evenings out in Minocqua, the Kozy Cabin offers the perfect balance of peaceful lakefront living and convenience.
Sleeping arrangements (maximum 4 adults):
Primary bedroom with king bed and lake views
Second bedroom with twin over full bunk bed
Living area:
Comfortable seating with two reclining chairs
Smart TV
Electric fireplace
Open layout with beautiful lake views
The cabin comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests total.
Kitchen & Essentials
The kitchen is fully equipped for easy meals and relaxed mornings and includes a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, air fryer, coffee maker( Keurig & traditional), waffle maker, electric fry pan, sandwich maker, cookware, dishes, and utensils.
Linens and towels are provided. Basic soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels are also included.
Please note: There is no washer or dryer on site.

15 minutes to St. Germain
20 minutes to Boulder Junction
In addition to summer lake activities, the cabin offers easy access to snowmobile and ATV/UTV trail systems with hundreds of miles of groomed trails throughout northern Wisconsin and nearby upper Michigan.
Pet Policy:
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a limit of two per stay and a pet fee. As a dog-friendly cabin, we do our best to thoroughly clean after every visit, but guests with allergies should be aware that dog hair may occasionally be present.
Security & Safety:
For the safety of guests and the property, exterior security cameras are located at the front door/driveway and at the back door facing the lake. Cameras are exterior only and do not monitor indoor spaces.
Things to Note:
Maximum occupancy: 4 adults
No fish cleaning or cooking fish inside the cabin
No events or parties
Smoking is not permitted

The host was very helpful and responsive. The property was beautiful and clean with an amazing view of the lake. Although the property is right off a busy road, we spent all of our time in back by the lake, so it didn't bother us at all. The place felt very private as well. It was fun to use the paddleboat and kayaks, and we saw tons of wildlife right on the property. Plus, it's just minutes away from downtown Minocqua. We had a fantastic time!

Such an amazing family friendly getaway! Loved having access to the lake and the kayaks when the weather was good, and the board/card games and pac man when the rain rolled in!

Cute little rental, clean, great communication with the host. We arrived a couple hours early and she let us check in before 3. I didn't realize how short the driveway was. We brought our boat and had quite a difficult time turning it around in the driveway everyday. The highway was always too busy to take the time to back in. Quite a bit of traffic noise but that can't be avoided given the location. The hill down to the lakefront was pretty steep and bumpy. Fine for us but I wouldn't want anyone who's a fall risk trying to walk down. Grass was as tall as our ankles. We didn't end up using the firepit because of how dry and windy it was, but would've been nice to have that area weed wacked a bit. Other than that, nice place and the price was great.
