Beautiful Omani heritage house to explore, always welcomed back by Hattan and the amazing team working there, who make u feel like family. It is comfortable & quiet and the breakfast and drinks by Farooq in the cafe are always delicious. Great location in Taqah for access to attractions, shops and restaurants.

Very authentic restored large Omani house. It was a really unique experience and very happy that we chose to stay there. Calm and welcoming. Great owners, with compelling stories about Dhofar’s history and places.

The property is a beautiful piece of history. I was specifically looking for something different than a soulless hotel experience and it was exactly what I had hoped for. The owner as well as the staff are very kind and attentive. I felt very much at home, especially thanks to Rahman’s welcome in German.
There is nothing I did not like. One small suggestion: you could add a small bedside lamp in addition to the ceiling light. I find big ceiling lights generally a bit harsh and always enjoy soft lights, but this is personal taste.

Warm reception. Convenient location for visiting attractions. Comfortable bed. Friendly manager. Quaint looking coffee shop with very helpful staff.
1)Needs attention to cleaning. 2) Mosquitoes don’t allow us to sleep - the host / manager should know this and have the room prepared accordingly. 3) lack of any natural lighting in the room
