Downtown- Sunshine Cottage and Golf Cart

We've vacationed in Southport many times but this was our first time staying in this house. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and very cozy. I would say our favorite part was the (6) person electric golf cart that comes with this rental. I messaged Jennifer to let her know we would be arriving sooner than expected and she placed the keys to the golf cart outside so we could ride downtown while waiting for our code to be active. Jennifer was actually on-site when we arrived and allowed us to go ahead and enter the home although we we early and had chocolate chip cookies on the counter for us. We only drove the car one evening due to rain and were cruising around the waterfront and back streets on the golf cart the rest of the time. Everyone had a great time and loved the house. Jennifer was very nice and welcoming. We had 0 issues but knew Jennifer was available if something popped up. Thanks Jennifer for providing such a nice rental for our family to get away and really enjoy our time in Southport! We will definitely stay here again, and my wife is already talking about a girls trip 😆

There was nothing we didn't like, but the only thing that would have made it better was if the home had (2) full bathrooms.

Amazing cottage! Great amenities and location. Loved that the golf cart was included! House is just perfect! Owners are so thoughtful with every detail including a bottle of prosecco for our anniversary!

The home is spotless which was a priority for me. It was decorated beautifully. The host, Jennifer, couldn’t have been nicer and responded immediately with any questions. The location is perfect as it is close to the shops and not a far drive to Oak Island. The kitchen was well supplied and having a washer and dryer available was nice. The neighborhood was quiet. We were all very comfortable and so glad that we chose Sunshine Cottage . Would love to come back.

Everything was great. The only minor thing that I can think of is adding some type of curtain or shutters to the living room windows for privacy at night. Certainly not that big of a deal that I wouldn’t stay again if I have the opportunity and I would still rate my stay as awesome.

we had family coming in from out of town. we live in Southport. It was convenient to both us and town. The golf cart was great for enjoying downtown. There is also a playground a block away!

the neighborhood is a mix of old and new and undeveloped. it’s not a problem at all but people from out of town might be surprised. That’s Southport!
