Inside the apartment

On the morning of our arrival we received a highly impolite demand to complete documentation on line, to allow us to receive electronic codes to open the outer and inner doors of the apartment. We did this at once but the system did not work. The calendar of dates required did not work (I have had this before when using a computer; the system works with mobile phones only, it seems). We then tried to contact the property by text to explain the problem, but we were in mountains without a mobile phone link for much of the day. Finally, we got back a reply saying that the doors' opening system had been activated and we were finally able to open the doors on arrival. However, the whole situation was very stressful and gave us a very bad impression. Customers should be advised of such a complex system well in advance (at the time of booking) and also there should be a back-up plan B clearly explained in advance is case the system does not work. This is an excellent example of the incorrect use of modern technology, transferring the responsibilities to the customer.
