Colombier du château

The chateau itself is beautiful - just what you imagine a French chateau to look like, with a moat all around it. We didn't actually stay in the chateau - the family suite is in the old 'pigeon house'. It had plenty of space for a family and was quiet. The pool, whilst chilly, was very refreshing after a hot day out, and pool towels are provided. The wifi was excellent. At the end of our stay, the owner gave us a very comprehensive tour of the chateau, along with accounts of its history. It was really interesting.

Cleaning (this has been commented on by others too) could be improved. The bedding and towels were all very clean, but there were a lot of spider webs (a problem if anyone is scared) and the kitchen could have been cleaner. We ended up putting all of the cutlery through the dishwasher (handy) to clean it before we used it. There isn't really anything in the village (no bakery or restaurants) so you do have to go out in the car to buy bread for breakfast, or to eat. Next time, I'd probably book to stay in the chateau itself, rather than the family room, which had absolutely beautiful rooms.

Beautifully presented. Hosts were very welcoming. So honoured to get to experience this part of beautiful historical rural France. Three hours from Calais was a fantastic rest point on our holiday.

Beautiful property in lovely grounds. Full of character. Very kind and welcoming hosts, extreemly accommodating of our family arriving very late at night. Very comfortable beds. A true château experience. Pool looked lovely , better than photos. Will stay again on next trip through.

No restaurants walkable so just need to factor that into planning, or use the lovely little kitchen.

gorgeous - peaceful and relaxed chateau with outbuildings. The swimming pool was perfect when we arrived and the accommodation was comfortable and charming.

It was all good! Beds were good, being soft and fresh. The kitchen was great for making a quick meal and the view was sublime.
