Lovely old cottage with everything we needed, fantastic views, the cream teas that were left for us was a lovely touch, the decking area was very disappointing and in need of some upgrading, great location for visiting other areas of interest in easy reach, overall we had a great holiday and would love t go back again,

Steep hill to rear of property, only room for one vehicle as neighbours need access at all times, cleanliness fair cobwebs everywhere, washing left in machine, outside decking furniture and steps down to the garden rotting and needs replacing, bed mattresses uncomfortable beds and duvets felt damp when you got into them, sofas in the lounge extremely uncomfortable, small lamp broken, wii did not work all discs very badly scratched board games were either broken or had no batteries in or pieces missing. If your going to advertise facilities that are provided they need to be in working order, comfortable and a good standard

The communication from Adrian was brilliant and the welcome scones were a lovely touch. The view from the deck was beautiful (even with the horrendous weather!). The cottage is very tired and in need of updating (broken blinds, very old uncomfortable sofa, extremely small shower, not enough seating for 6 people outside) but it was clean and beds were fairly comfortable. Although the listing says 10 mins to beach there are restrictions for dogs and it’s more like 30 mins walk (10 min drive) to a section of the beach you can walk your dog on. This was disappointing as it was one of our requirements to have a beach to walk the dogs on within 10 min walk of the accommodation. I guess we should have looked it up but would be useful information to add to the listing. As the weather was so bad we spent more time in the cottage than we thought we would which meant we probably noticed more of its faults than we would have done if we could have enjoyed the outside! Overall a good location to explore the area but not to enjoy dog walking on beach nearby. Comfortable (if a bit tired) and good value for money given the price of other properties in the area. Communication from owner very good 😊

The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed for your stay. The view was wonderful. The location was good for us, its a good hill back up if you want to walk into Westward Ho, takes about 15 - 20 mins. We travelled to Port Isaac, Saunton Sands, Appleby, Croyde Bay all within wasy reach. My only complaint would be the patio furniture, its well overdue a rub down and varnish or to be replaced.

The house was stunning. Lovely kitchen with everything that you could need. Beds very comfortable. Shower is amazing! The extras we got from the brilliant hosts, were very much a welcom on arrival and we would recommend getting there breakfast tray. Beautiful quality!! All topped off with views to die for!!! Will be back for sure!!

The view really is what makes this property, it was so lovely to open the curtains and to be able to see so far into the distance. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was peaceful and quiet at night and during the day.

Short walk to all the local amenities in westward ho which is a fabulous seaside resort Loved our stay is this cottage and have already booked for next year. 100% recommend

I had so many plans to visit other places in Devon and we stayed in Westward Ho the entire week. The property was amazing, well maintained, had a great living space and more importantly amazing views and you could hear the waves from the veranda. Parking and manoeuvring the car was no issue and we loved every second in the house and the town. Beautiful and completely dog friendly with enclosed, safe garden. Quiet neighbourhood. Just perfect thanks

Stunning views. The cottage was spacious & welcoming. Extremely well equipped & lots of lovely touches like the soap! We had fantastic weather & spent hours on the decking. There was an issue with the fridge & the owner replaced it with the next day. Lots to do in the area. We will definitely book again.

The house is stylish, bright, warm, clean and welcoming. The views are wonderful - even when the rain lashed down! The bed was very comfortable and enabled much needed quality sleep. The kitchen is ridiculously well-equipped and I loved the generous-spirited cupboard contents! Friendly neighbour too!

Had a great holiday in this cottage along with my husband and our black lab:) Very clean, Covid 19 safe and comfy bed!Some lovely touches like the welcome pack, which we thoroughly enjoyed/appreciated and the little wrapped individual soaps, that you can purchase in a fab little shop in Westward Ho selling local product....I could have spent a fortune in it!!Great location looking down onto Northam Burrows and yes it is up a bit of a hill, hence the amazing views, but less able people can easily park down in the village.Many super dog walks from the front door which is a huge bonus for us!Two very minor points and they certainly wouldn't stop us booking this cottage again are, the wifi was a little patchy/slow at times and the furniture on the decking could be a little more comfortable.Thank you for a fab week!

A little hard to find, having the property number (374 I think) would have helped. Once found we settled right in (and thanks for the welcome food). Loved the property and area. Not been down to north Devon for too many years. Westward Ho was lovely as was Appledore. We spent the week touring Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude, Clovelly, Ilfracombe, Combe Martin. The view from the property was worth half the rental cost alone. This reminded us of what we’d missed. We will be returning customers with the rest of the family.

Fabulous place

We absolutely loved this cottage, and the area is fabulous for dog walks on the beaches. We didn’t travel far to explore as really didn’t need to! The photos don’t give enough credit to how lovely the cottage is, and it has a good little garden too for sitting in the sun, drying clothes, & letting the dogs out, as well as the great decking area with fabulous sea views. I can’t wait to visit Old Salty’s again!
