The property is well situated in the attractive old town, midway between the station and the old centre and within easy walking distance of both. The accommodation was an apartment with a little kitchenette, not needed for my 1 night stay, but could be a nice feature for someone staying longer. The apartment remained cool in a searing heatwave, so far as I recall there was no aircon (at any rate I did not use any) and I attribute the the temperature control to the old walls which are very thick and the orientation of the apartment within the inner courtyard. There was a long shoe horn which I didn't use but which older guests may find a helpful touch. I liked the place well enough that I booked a second one night stay towards the end of my vacation in Romania.

Including a breakfast of sorts would have made the price feel a better bargain, and a bottle of water would have been a welcome gesture of courtesy, especially in such hot weather and given my brief stay (I did not want to spend the little time I had there hunting for supermarkets). I found a nearby patisserie/cafe for breakfast which served my purposes, but I don't recall anything in the way of guidance to the town for visitors in the apartment. I would also have appreciated an extra socket on either side of the bed, for charging my devices. There were a couple of very minor issues in the bathroom (a little water escaping onto the bathroom floor from the shower, awkward placement of loo roll holder). I was not familiar with the locking system for the front door to the apartment (one has to hold the handle up to turn the key), which I mention in relation to the lack of guidance provided to guests, but the owner was reasonably responsive when I texted him about the issue.

Apartament cochet și curat, cu tot ce ar fi nevoie, in zonă de centru liniștită. Ne-am simțit în siguranță și am cunoscut vecini deosebiți. Mulțumim.

A trebuit să căutăm parcare în oraș, deși parcarea era o opțiune inclusă în ofertă.

Una casa amb tot el que busques. Tot molt espaiós i la cuina està molt ben equipada. Un gran lloc per allotjar-se a Bistrita.
