About this apartment rental

A recently renovated alpine apartment in a traditional Savoyard farmhouse. The apartment is in a peaceful and picturesque hamlet very close to the centre of Morillon village (10 minutes walk). Morillon is part of the Grand Massif skiing area. The apartment is 500m (5-10 minute walk) from the Morillon cable car, which operates in summer and winter for skiing, hiking and mountain biking. There is a ski bus stop outside the door. The apartment has a good sized living/dining area, 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4-5 people. There is free wi-fi internet access. Morillon village has a good range of shops, cafes/bars and restaurants. The nearby lake, beach and recreation area (10 minutes walk) are perfect for families with kids in the summer. The mountain views from the apartment are stunning and hiking and biking trails are accessible from the door. It is possible to ski to the door if you don't mind an off-piste finish!

The property is conveniently located - within 5 minutes walk to the lake and 10 minutes to Morillon 'High Street'. It is spacious and, thanks to the shutters, it was pleasant and cool in the hot summer temperatures. The owners were very helpful, with great communication. Lovely neighbours too - the French lady was very sweet.

Mondayevening the 3rd we booked the appartment. Payments was arranged over a VRBO link by the owner. Tuesday the 4th we arrived late in the evening and everything was settled and prepared as communicated by the owners. Next day they came allong to check whether we arrived well and found evrything ok. Nice service. The appartment is a described, everything is working fine and though the building is old, the inner part of the appartment is really perfect. Bedding and towels were prepared, giving a realy nice Hotel-like welcome idea. Thanks again

A last minute change in plans led us to staying in this apartment. It is old fashioned with shutters on the windows, wood everywhere and warms up nicely. The amenities are characterful and adequate. It reflects that the main reason for being here would normally be the chance to use the sporting aspects of the area, such as VTT in the summer, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There is no apparent outside garden/recrational spaces.

This was the third time in about six years we have stayed at this apartment and have always found it to be clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is just a short walk into the village with a bus stopped just outside. Mary and Jamie are very helpful when needed. So we would recommend this apartment for both summer and winter travellers. We found the property to be very comfortable. It had everything we needed during our stay. It was warm and the shower was hot and powerful. It was close to the ski lift and shops. Morillon is a lovely village. It was easy to get around the valley on the bus. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Had everything you need and only a short walk to telecabine. Mary was helpful with details on getting ski pass, ski hire. ROL Sports let you store your hire gear in the shop so you don’t have to carry skis and boots back to the apartment every night. Some tasty options for eating out in Morillon village.

Good communication with the owner prior to and after booking. Easy and convenient access arranged which was welcomed after a long drive. Good size accommodation that was bigger than the photo's suggested. Everything provided for a comfortable stay, good facilities and the owner was on site to make sure that everything was OK. Handy for the Morillon telecabin which was a short walk away. Would definitely recommend and return to the chalet if available.

This is a great apartment that is much larger than it appears in the photo's. It's really comfortable and well located. We stayed for 5 nights and hired our ski's from Rol so we didn't have to carry them which was great as the apartment is slightly uphill. However there is a bus if you are transporting ski's every day. Without ski's it's a really nice walk. The owners are great, really helpful, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We have just returned from our second stay at this spacious clean apartment. This time we took our 3 sons in their early twenties and there was plenty of room for all of us plus good WiFi. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the ski lift and the village so is in an ideal location and also at a good price. We had a great holiday and enjoyed plenty of skiing and no doubt will be returning again.

Fabulous apartment ideal for ski slopes

This is a lovely apartment, bigger than the "ski cupboard" we rented previously as the kitchen / dining / living area is totally separate, and the bedrooms are a decent size. The bunk beds are quite wide and while we used them for children, I'm sure they'd be fine for adults. The beds are very comfortable also. It's great having your own front door and the car can be parked right outside which makes lugging equipment and stuff a lot easier. Great value - we had a fantastic stay. Thank you.

Beautiful well equipped accomodation that far exceded our expectations. It felt like home the moment we opened the door. More than enough room for our family of 5. The area of Morillon is jaw droppingly picturesque. The only problem was that we could not stay longer.We will definately be back ......but next time for much longer. Mary could not be more helpful with quick responses to all our emails. Five stars.

We had a lovely time in Morillon and were made to feel very welcome by Mary and family. We were less than 10 minutes walk (carrying skis) to the cable car in Morillon itself, which connected us to plenty of skiing. And less than 5 minutes by car to the lift at Verclan, which gave us an easier afternoon ski back from Flaine - the sun shone for most of our stay which made the views over the mountains and valleys outstanding. We were even in reach, by car, of the cross country ski area at Joux Plan above Samoëns, meaning the lack of snow in resort didn't stop us from doing all of the activities we'd hoped to. Would be very happy to stay in the apartment again if we revisit the area

Very happy with our stay at the property. Arrived late on the Friday and everything was set up for us. Beds made with two towels each on the bed (also a little bonus chocolate treat). Every inch of the property was very clean and tidy and spacious throughout. Beds were very comfy and bathroom facilities were small but very clean. Shower room is seperate from the toilet which is ideal in many ways. Location is just a 5 minute walk to the main lift. Shops, bars, restaurants and ski hire facilities are all very on route to the lifts also. Overall stay was excellent. Very ideal position in the village and the price is very good for its location. Would highly recommend for a family of 4 but can easily stay 6 people. Fantastic weekend of skiing and made even better by our accomodation. Many thanks to Mary and Jamie

Accomodation: We stayed here with 3 adults, double bed in the main bedroom was comfortable and big enough certainly for 2 people, the bunk room was as you would expect with a chest of drawers for storage. The pull out bed in the living room was comfortable and easy to put away good kitchen oven/grill/microwave/kettle and fridge freezer. There is a storage cupboard with washing machine if extra space is needed in the toilet and shower room the are heated towel rails for drying ski gear which is useful. Location: The apartment is a 5-10 minute walk downhill to the Morillon village cable car various hire shops on route we used twinner near the lift as they were English speaking and very helpful ski hire for 5 days including helmet come to 110 euros each. Its not so fun up the hill on the way back but it is after a day skiing so I wouldn't read into that too much. However you can get the red route ski bus from the gondola to the apartment as it stops outside, this same bus also takes you to samoens from outside the apartment. Nightlife: It is a pretty sleepy village, the bar le bon coin opposite the gondola is pretty much the only place with music if you like euro pop or heavy metal! we spent most of our nights in the snack bar at the side of the gondola they showed football for us and were very welcoming on our last day they let us charge our phone etc before the journey home price of beer was about 5 euros so wasn't too bad at all. The owners: We didn't really see much of them but they welcomed us and pretty much let us get on with it which was nice for us as we were in and out quite a bit, full of info if needed and happy to help where they can. The apartment was very clean and everything well maintained, we only used the kitchen area for breakfast but it seemed well equipped. It was very spacious as only two of us were staying there, the second bedroom has bunk beds and would be most suitable for children (or just one adult). Outdoor space is limited but we were able to keep our mountain bikes indoors overnight. The village is a short walk away and we found a couple of good restaurants (our favourite was La Puzze).

Less than 10 mn walk to get everywhere (shops, restaurants, cable car, ski bus). The appartment is very comfortable with great equipment. (dishwasher !) Beds are ready when you arrive. The owners live just on the other side of the house, they are helpful but very discreet. There are 2 real bedrooms (when 4 people, no one sleeps in the kitchen). The bathroom is small but the shower is warm and delightful. Good to know: The room with bunk beds has no window (teenagers may sleep until noon). Cosy living/dining room. Tv and DVD player, Wi-fi available. Parents with 2 teenagers everyone enjoyed the stay. The area is wonderful with plenty of activities very close in all seasons.

Loved this apartment. Great location in a traditional part of the village, yet still close to the village centre. Everything we could want was in the apartment, even good wifi reception for my computer mad son. Very comfortable beds, decent shower and very warm (a must!). Found it easier to catch the ski bus, which stops virtually outside, than drive to any ski lifts. Had a lovely holiday with some great skiing.

Notre séjour dans cette location s’est bien passé. L’appartement est très bien agencée. À notre arrivée, les draps sont mis (et fournis avec serviette et un petit chocolat). Tout le nécessaire est présent (on aurait juste bien aimé avoir un appareil à raclette ou fondue sur place, les restaurants étant fermés). Pas de chance pour nous, nous n’avons pas eu droit aux grasses matinées, des travaux dans la maison à partir de 8h mais bon, nous avons bien profité malgré tout. L’appartement est bien situé dans le village. Merci pour ce séjour.

Bon séjour dans l appartement. Dommage qu il manque un extérieur pour profiter surtout en été. Bon échange de mails avec la propriétaire que je n ai pas eu l occasion de rencontrer même en distension. Un peu étroit pour une table de 4 personnes.
