Joyful Hut with Netflix and Perfect Sunrise View Maya, Daanbantayan

Petite maison en bambou très charmante. Elle est tenue par un monsieur vraiment adorable qui n’hésite pas à vous aider en cas de besoin. Nous sommes arrivés très tard et le propriétaire a pris le temps de nous accompagner chercher de quoi manger dans le quartier. La maison est propre et bien entretenue, tout ce qu’on attend d’un logement dans une petite ville en bord de mer.

Le lit est un peu petit pour un couple mais on s’y fait facilement

Booked this property last minute for 1 night before going to Malapascua. Eddie and Joy are lovely hosts. Eddie met us at the top of the road, showed us round, took us to get food and as we arrived late welcomed us into their home to eat our dinner. The accommodation itself is great value for money, there is a kitchen area, living space as well as garden and separate balcony with bedroom upstairs. Powerful fans in all areas, TV with Netflix etc, coffee/tea, drinking water. Eddie even drove us to the pier before our ferry, couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, best option in Maya for sure!

There are negative reviews saying it isn’t clean. This isn’t true, the place is very clean however it is a bamboo built hut by the sea, if you leave food out, this will attract insects - as long as you store food correctly you will be fine, we didn’t have any issues with this during our stay.

Wir wurden noch zu später Stunde sehr herzlich Empfangen. Es war nicht ganz so leicht zu finden. Das Häuschen liegt direkt am Wasser mit super Ausblick. Joy hat uns ganz nett empfangen und noch Snacks gebracht. Ich war krank und wurde am nächsten Tag von Ihrem Mann durch den Ort gefahren. Er hat mich zur Apotheke gebracht und noch ein bisschen rumgeführt. Ein Tricycle haben sie uns auch bestellt, damit wir am nächsten Morgen zum Hafen kamen. Bis auf den Hahn am Morgen ist es sehr ruhig und idyllisch ;).

It’s a really cute 2 floor studio. Good views and location. Great wifi, very clean

The shower had absolutely no pressure. Trying to have a shower was very tough, we gave up. Couldn’t sleep during the night since you have 5 roosters screaming from 3.30am until 8am. In addition, some locals start hanging around from 5.30 am in front of the house and it was impossible to fall sleep with that noise.
