The location is perfect for wandering around Castleton and visiting the peak district. The cottage is so quaint, each room is beautiful and the decor is wonderful. The hosts are very communicative and give a lot of information. They were also very understanding when we had travel issues. There is off-street parking for 3 cars (jack and jill parking) which is useful in the busy season given its location.

We loved Lodge Cottage! The house has been tastefully modernised, retaining the charm of the original building. Location is right in the centre of Castleton, with private parking a huge bonus. Beds, bed linen, towels were all immaculate.
I’m struggling to find anything negative. An additional bin in the kitchen for recycling would have been welcome.

The cottage is 10/10. Each room is beautiful, there are so many unique features, the location is brilliant, the town has great hospitality, and the host was great. We will definitely return
The only very minor thing is the lack of garden space. But this really does not matter given the location. There is is also a small courtyard
