Deluxe Huge Detached House with Parking, sleeps up to 30 people, 2m from Liverpool City Centre

The property was a great size.

On arrival at the property, we were immediately disappointed. The driveway was full of overgrown weeds and it looked like an abandoned house. The hallway had not been swept and it was generally untidy. A couple of the guests of the hen party had to clean areas of the house themselves and hoover from top to bottom before the bride arrived. The tiles in the hallway are a hazard and slip out of place when you step on them. The ceiling in the lounge is horrendous and looks as though it is about to fall through (see pictures). The carpets were stained and the walls were mostly damaged. Several of the bedroom ceilings had what looked like damp/mould, and the paint/plaster was peeling from the ceilings. One of the bedrooms had a hanging sheet instead of a curtain. The back garden was again full of weeds and rat droppings and could not be used. We saw many rats. We appreciate that the house is situated fairly close to the centre, however we felt as though we could have been pre-warned about the safety of the location. We witnessed arguments and drug deals taking place on the street outside the house. Multiple taxi drivers who dropped us off at the house were concerned about our safety because the area has such a poor reputation. We understand that these are issues which are not down to the owners of the property, however given the house is hired to hens, we feel as though some warning should have been given. It did not feel safe. We were optimistic when we booked the house as it has so many good reviews, however we were left baffled as to who has left these reviews as they do not reflect our experience. We appreciate that everyone has different standards, however everyone who attended the hen party was on the same page in that this property was not worth the money spent, was highly disappointing and needs some care and attention before it is hired out again. Overall, given the money spent, we would not recommended.

Absolutely massive, brilliant facilities, so close to the centre & easy to get to, everything you need for a weekend stay! The host is absolutely fabulous.

Loads of bedrooms which were really spacious and comfortable. You certainly felt that you could relax.

Just a little too far out of town so needed lots of cabs. No other issues.

Beautiful house and clean has everything you need there! The owners we’re amazing offered if we need anything they can help! Will definitely stay here with a group of friends when next in Liverpool thank you

Everything was perfect

Our host Sean was excellent throughout our stay. He was always on hand and responded to communication timely. There is plenty of space, rooms are clean, bright and spacious. Beds were really comfortable, towels and toilets were available, which was a nice touch. The communal spaces were equipped with everything you need for a family/group stay. The kitchen is huge, and plenty of space for food etc. Loads of space for 3/4 cars on the drive and free street parking. The Kids loved the space, rooms on the ground floor, with a full bathroom, made it easy for anyone with mobility issues to get around smoothly. Loved our stay, definitely recommend and would be back again.

The house is huge and all the rooms are really nice, the location is a £12 taxi to or from the centre of Liverpool making it great for nights out. Sean the property manager was amazing too.

Fantastic weekend stay for an all girls hen party trip. Just a short distance away from town in a taxi. Quiet residential street with a park nearby. Very spacious property. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, we all slept like angels. The house is well equipped with plenty of towels, toiletries and other essentials. The property manager Sean was very accommodating with our delayed arrival. Cannot fault the property or service we received!

WOW! We booked Denman House to celebrate my partners 30th Birthday and it was perfect. You really have to visit this place to appreciate the size of the property. All 12 bedrooms were large, bright and airy and there was plenty of space for our party of 23 people. We had a wonderful meal and a few drinks in Liverpool (just 10 mins in a taxi from Denman House) then came back to a lovely, warm comfortable house equipped with everything we could possibly need! Plenty of glasses, comfortable beds and even 2 kitchens! Everything was immaculately clean and Luke was a wonderful host. It truly felt like a home away from home. AMAZING! We’ll be back.
