As a town centre hotel across the road from the station, it has a bustling bar and very adequate restaurant; it also has secure parking
The bathroom had a slight odour of drains but I've stayed in two or three other rooms wit this being a problem; it reminded me of holidays in the past!

All the staff and others there were very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The manager helped us secure train reservations after one we had was unexpectedly canceled the previous day resulting in overnight stay. He went above and beyond.
The room was up a long flight of stairs, and then a spiral staircase. There was no air-conditioning or fans. It was especially hot weather. Bed pillows were horrible.
Food service was unpredictable. Purchased breakfast, and it was sparce at best.
