Wheelwright’s Barn near Halesworth, Suffolk sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
Amenities: Central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven, grill and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. TV with Freesat, DVD player, WiFi. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair available. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Enclosed gardens with lawns, patio area, patio furniture, barbecue. Three small/medium well-behaved dogs welcome downstairs. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.9 miles, pub 1.9 miles. Note: If you wish the owner to provide a travel cot and highchair please request at time of booking. Note: There will be a welcome gift of wine and biscuits on arrival. Note: If you wish to bring dogs please inform us at time of booking. Note: No unaccompanied teenagers please. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead and supervised in the gardens
Town: The delightful Suffolk market town of Halesworth is full of character, with old buildings, a weekly market held on a Wednesday and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, which are predominantly independent. The Halesworth Town Trail offers a walk through the town whilst learning about its history, whilst within easy reach is the gentle, undulating surrounding countryside, which is ideal for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coastline features unspoilt heathlands and the RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve, whilst the internationally renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall, and the delightful coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are all within a short drive. With the cities of Ipswich and Norwich both within touring distance, Halesworth is an ideal location from which to discover Suffolk.

Overall the stay was great, the owner of the property was close by and was responsive to communication the one time we had an issue. The issue was the termostat was set for no heating during day, for summer season, and he came and turned on the winter setting to heat up during the day. The only comment I would note, is the areas that are used often, are quite clean, but we did open a few of the windows at times, and there were a few places in corners and on the beams that were quite dusty and need a cleaning, as some of the window cracks had spider nests and other bug groups due to not having been opened in a while. Otherwise very good. NOTE: The address that is conveyed from the operator lister, Sykes Cottages, is off a bit. The Google maps locations is at an address accross the street, we ended up finding the correct house, but was a few feet off and finding it in the dark was slightly a problem.
