Friendly staff, big rooms and great layout. Super clean. The area itself is great, out of the insane parts of Tokyo but still a huge city.

Arrived at Ikebukuro for the first leg of our trip and Mimaru exceeded our expectations. The two bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 5 with teenage kids. Staff were friendly. The laundry located on the second floor with a vending machines that had coffee, juice, water and tea was very convenient. The location had a family mart within a min of walking distance. Lots of food places within 5 minute walk. The train station and mall was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Would def stay here again!

Room was excellent, really perfect for our family of four. 4 single beds. Toilet separate from the bathroom. Small but handy dining space. Kitchenette. Great. Location is short (10 min) walk from station - also great. Loads of connecting lines all over Tokyo and beyond. Short walk to coffee, iconic bridge over tracks, Parco. Only but is that the “entertainment” district is close and maybe not suited for youngish families. No one hassled us at all and we never felt unsafe or even worried. We have older kids but maybe some awkward conversations for younger ones. That said, the hotel is unbeatable value for money, the staff are lovely, rooms are great for families, and loads of amenities on site and nearby.

Location is close to JR, Tobu-Tojo line. Shopping nearby Tobu, Seibu. The downside, it’s close to nightlife ladies bar, hourly rate motels. However, there’s 24hrs pharmacy that carries a lot of skincare and cosmetics. There’s always a lot of people in the hotel lobby, corridors to the room is open (outdoor). Inside the room feels clean, tatami style but with thick mattress.
