Sunset Valley Holiday Houses

The houses are located in a rural area with views over rice fields, about 15-20 mins from Langkawi Airport by car. Communication with the hosts, Gudrun and David, was very easy and they were very responsive both before and during our stay. The houses and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The Paddy House was beautifully furnished. We tend to have very active holidays and only use a hotel for sleeping and showering but, after seeing the property, we rearranged our plans to enable us to spend more time there enjoying the pool, scenery, and peace and quiet. We particularly loved seeing all of the wildlife which roams the grounds, including monitor lizards, butterflies, frogs, and birds. Aircon is available at an additional cost, but the temperature inside the house was comfortable enough without it, even in 35+ degree heat. There was a family renting another house during stay, but the planting and layout meant that we still had total privacy. It's easy enough to get Grab to/from the house if you don't want to rent a car/scooter.

The mattress was very hard, which made it difficult to sleep, but I managed to make it bearable by folding the quilt over and lying on top of that.

Comfortable traditional Malay houses, a swimming pool with ionized water (doesn’t sting in the kids’ eyes!) and an amazing sunset view. Gudrun & David are super-hosts and went above and beyond for us! The on-site honesty-shop has everything you might need, from refrigerated drinks to snacks and even breakfast! No need to go out and buy bottled water, you can get clean filtered water from the machine as much as you’d like & use the provided reusable water bottles.

Nothing to dislike, it’s an amazing place to stay!

Amazing place in the nature

We loved the peace and quiet, the bird life, the houses - everything. The garden was wonderful for the kids to play in and we loved the pool. The area is beautiful and peaceful, but not far from any attractions. We loved watching the sunset over the fields each evening. We will be back!
