How shall I describe it? It’s antique and unique… not your usual name brand but so much has been provided for your comfort. The room is small but the bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom small and quaint but clean and good hot water. Yes we’d stay again. 🙂

This historic hotel was built in 1930. The rooms are clean with a comfortable bed but very small by modern standards. However, there is a sitting area on each floor next to the elevator with cushy chairs and sofas where you can read and visit quite comfortably. The elevator is original to the building complete with brass cage doors and while not as “efficient” as the modern elevator it is arguably way cooler.
The included breakfast is a small hot buffet and assorted rolls, fruit, yogurt etc. Very tasty and better than the standard grab and go muffin assortment.

After a long day of catching lunkers on the San Juan River, my partner and I were looking for a charming, historic hotel to unwind in. This property fit the bill.
