The young gentlemen who greeted us and checked us in really made us feel welcomed. He explained all the policies and offered us hot cocoa on a bitterly cold night. The hotel is modern. No weird smells. No long term residents.

Check in was fast. The room was all new but our bed had hair. Definitely the team did not change the bed sheets. We were in a road trip and tired and a nice shower and bed is what I was expecting. Very disappointed

Room was decently clean. A little worn looking in places. Sparsely “furnished”. Simple but good breakfast including bacon, something that has been gone from too many hotels and motels for way longer than warranted. Please get back to complete beds that have more than a skimpy sheet with a 1/4” thick thing they consider a bed spread. What happened to real bed coverings where you don’t wake up half frozen in the middle of the night ? All in all, I guess this is what $90-$110 buys you now.

This was an OK room for a one night stay on the driving trip. The room was small. It was hard to figure out how to use the TV. The bed wasn't comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre.

The staff was just awesome! The hotel was a very good value. Breakfast was good, the service and extra effort by the staff was outstanding! The ONLY problem was the pillows were just awful. But that’s the only thing I would recommend for improvement.

Everything was great! If I had any complaint, it would center around the TV remote. It was so unnecessarily complicated, that I had to go to the front desk for help, the woman was sweet & helpful, but I still couldn't get the darned thing to get any of the sports channels listed. So, other than that, everyone & everything was all one could expect, & then some! :-)

I don’t expect much from this level of hotel, but I do expect a basic level of cleanliness. This did not meet the expectations. There was dirt and other debris all over the floor. Clearly had not been vacuumed. Also no blanket on one of the beds. Hard to understand that. Service was friendly enough but just not good enough with the room cleaning and prep.

We stay here everytime we visit Erie, its a great location for us. Rooms are always very nice, clean and the staff friendly. Room prices are always very good also. Highly recommend this hotel.

The next morning at checkout time we realized the elevator was not working. We hollered down to the desk that I was able to see below and she went to find the maintenance man within about 10 minutes she came up to help me with my bag but about a minute later he came up and carried my bag downstairs which was so nice and it worked out

The price was right and the hotel was easy to get to.

We had a great stay there. Everything was clean and orderly. The only bad things were the shower head sprays too strong, I had to pit it between 2 settings just to be able to tolerate the pressure, and the bathtub is very slippery. I nearly fell while trying to shower several times. I ended up using a washcloth to stand on for traction. This is a severe liability for them, I believe.

Upon our arrival in room we wanted to turn on the tv to see weather but there was no on button on the remote so I said to my husband I’ll call the front desk so I looked around the room but there was no telephone so I had to walk down to report it. Then we decided to take a short nap before venturing out but the noise from the highway was so loud we couldn’t sleep so I went back down and asked to be moved to a different area of the hotel and I was told nobody ever complained about that before but she moved us away from the highway which helped some. Also as someone else said as an older couple the slope of the bathtub made it very slippery and dangerous. The rooms there are also only serviced every three days. So my overall assessment is for the price we paid for the room a person could stay some wherever else and get better accommodations

We have stayed at wingate many times and this time was just the same as the others! Clean room, comfortable feeling, little busier but that’s part of travel!
