Sunset Marina Resort and Yacht Club - All Inclusive

The property was very clean and the staff were excellent. Our room was excellent, it overlooked the lagoon and had a nice balcony. The buffets were great, a good variety of choices. The resort itself is on the small side which was nice, but they had a free shuttle that you could take to their sister properties- The Sunset Royal was the best one to go to - it was on the hotel strip and had the beautiful beach and a nice pool you could enjoy. The all-inclusive could be used at the sister resorts which was great. They also had free bicycles you could use for the day. There was a great bike path/trail that went the entire length of the hotel zone. We road the bikes to the Sunset Royal everyday! Would definitely recommend a stay here if you don’t want a huge busting resort vibe.

the hotel has great facilities, it has one restaurant, one swimming pool, facing toward inner lagoon, Javior did a great job hosting us, he have us plenty of tips and infos before we arrive at the hotel and during our stay and he invited us to take dinnet at the restaurant for free. Staff are friendly and helpful as well, will consider this olace for my next visit

I am writing to share feedback on my recent three-day stay at your hotel. Overall, my partner and I had a great time and plan to return, despite a few issues. We enjoyed the spacious, private condo-style room. However, the cleaning was inconsistent, as evidenced by dead cockroaches, suggesting a lack of thoroughness. The main restaurant's food was good but limited in options. The Asian restaurant was disappointing, with overcooked, flavorless dishes. Most of your staff were exceptional—attentive, professional, and deserving of tips. However, the red-haired lady in the main restaurant appeared consistently unhappy during our observations. We also enjoyed the sister hotel's nightlife, especially the live music and bar, which catered to an older crowd and offered a wonderful atmosphere. We had a great stay despite these minor shortcomings and look forward to returning.

Overall: 4/10, from a world traveler Pros: felt like an escape to Greece with the layout and it’s beautiful architecture, great view of the lagoon, access to their sister hotels (all inclusive doesn’t roll over to there though) but gives you access to the beach, pretty decent food at the restaurants whenever they were open, & good massages at the spa. DELICIOUS PINA COLADAS! Cons: We didn’t know that this was a “private resident club”/new timeshare hotel and that we were required to go to the presentation that would take 3 hours. That information was the start of our trip. The response was “why’d you think it was so cheap?” I thought Maybe I’d just found a good deal. Tip culture is extremely heavy. Overwhelming so. Everything you do, every drink you get, every time you order an item, they’d say “tip?” before you could even register to give one. I’m a generous person but it felt a little overwhelming, ESPECIALLY after being told “hey you’re American, the least you can do is tip these people” HUH?! The restaurants were never consistently open! You at most had two options at one time (one restaurant and room service from that restaurant LOL). The Caribbean restaurant was literally never opened. The buffet was strict on their hours and when they were closed, nothing else was opened except room service. Room service was delivered in less than an hour each time, but the portions varied so you couldn’t be sure how much you should order. Inconsistencies in taste too! The staff was friendly sometimes, others they’d wait for you to tip them before giving help. The map they had said they had different restaurants that either didn’t exist or simply never opened in our 4 day stay across the weekend when you’d think they should be open. Probably great for a lot of retirees or those that don’t want a lot of action because the shows weren’t frequent or interactive with more than 10 people at a time (bingo is the only time I saw 10 people, but only one round was played). It’s very chill, which is great if you’re okay leaving the hotel to find interactions with young people or just people who are a bit more jovial. Generally speaking though, this isn’t a hotel for those that are a 30 year old pair or someone who doesn’t have excess of money to be pressured into spending $250K on a lifetime package to stay at the hotel to receive better treatment.
