We should have heeded the warnings and comments about NOT STAYING AT THIS HOTEL.
As a brand/name associated with Marriott, our experience fell significantly short of the expected standards.
Our issues began at arrival with the valet parking service.
An attendant named *** was incredibly dismissive very rude, when we asked for parking directions because we had read about the Hotel has self-parking too, since he understood we weren't going to leave the car with him, he simply pointed to the street and said: "Park on the street" (where there are several "No Parking" signs). We weren't sure what he meant, and when we tried to ask again, where to park or if we should just leave the car with him , he turned away, he ignoring us entirely, we were forced to drive around the block multiple times due to a lack of signage about where the Hotel Parking Lot was, just to get back to the lobby.
Then the same guy, ***, saw us, he went back into his cubicle and another guy (*** sent someone else) came out, much friendlier, but he still wouldn't tell us where we could park. 😂 We ended up leaving the car with them.
The valet parking fee is $50 per night, and self-parking costs $30
When we checked in, a girl told us that only one of the four elevators was working and we should be patient because it was very slow. I don't mind using stairs, but at least we weren't on a higher floor (we were on the 5th floor). 😂
The stairs to get to and from the room were full of trash, and the steps were filthy with so many stains, in fact, (I don't even want to know what was inside) there was a bag on one of the steps with something that looks disgusting in it.
We wanted ice, but the machine on our floor wasn't working. We went to ask where there was ice, and someone told my husband that the machine on the 11th floor had it, he went to get the ice, and when he arrived, the machine was empty, the ice maker was on, but there was no ice.
We didn't dare shower because the bathroom floor looked quite dirty, my husband tried to be brave to shower buuut, hot water NEVER came out no matter which way he turned the faucet.
And at least 2 of the towels had some long curly hair on it.
The only fabric curtain at the windows, which wasn't a blackout curtain, was torn.
I asked where I could fill my water muggler, and a guy at reception told me: you can fill it at the gym, I went to the gym, and for some reason, there was a large puddle of water on the floor where the exercise machines was, not even in the water dispenser, and there were plastic cups and white towels scattered everywhere.
We had booked a room with four breakfasts included, but when we arrived at the restaurant, the girl who greeted us said breakfast wasn't included.
I went to check with reception, and the girl said she could only give me two breakfast passes and that I would have to buy the other two. The conversation went on and on, and finally, when I asked, "So, how much does breakfast cost?" the receptionist said, "I don't know, ask in the kitchen." 😂
I was so annoyed that I told my family, "You eat." They went, and the food was warm but bland. It's one thing to be careful not to add too much salt or sugar, but what my husband tried to eat (scrambled eggs) tasted only like cooked eggs, without any salt or other seasoning, my daughter wanted fruit and had to pick out each strawberry because they looked very old, like they were several days old. And don't even get me talk about the coffee.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL.
