The location of La Perla is far enough outside of San Pedro proper that you feel a bit disconnected (which is what we wanted). They have a lovely pool setup and the beach, while it doesn't run into the water because of the dock, it was set up nicely that you could lay out if you wanted. Our concierge, Star, was so helpful and made sure we had what we needed. She was easy to contact and work with. A golf cart was necessary to get around but made it fun!
I do wish the beach situation was a little better but this seems to be the case at many resorts on San Pedro due to the nature of the island situated within the reef.
